First impression is too many sound sources, filters, and effects, and not enough utilities.

Specificially:
Nothing wrong with Doepfer modules, but I'd swap the A-143-3 for a Xaoc Batumi II. Covers everything the A-143-3 can do, plus lots more, in 4 less HP.

If you're in love with the effects modules, fine, but I'd rather free up a lot of HP by ditching at least one of the delays and the reverb module in exchange for a smaller multi fx module such as ALM MFX, Disting mk4 or EX, Happy Nerding FX Aid or FX Aid XL, or the like.

Clouds and Blades are discontinued, and while you might be able to pick them up used, be aware that companies (e.g., Cal Synths) create clones that you can purchase new. Often, these will also save you some space in slightly smaller forms and/or come with additional optional firmware that extends capabilites.

I'd also get a different output module that gives you more control over panning, crossfading, and volume (e.g., Make Noise X Pan). This will help funnel your matrix mixer outputs with better control.

More generally:
I'd think about freeing up space to add utilities such as (in no particular order): more mixing, attenuversion, multiples, switches, noise/random sources, sample & hold, logic, crossfading, etc. I'd also add clock dividers but I think that's mostly like covered by Pam's & Digitakt.

Edit: Correction: X Pan is a mixer not an output module...I was thinking XOH, but they're both good modules for funneling several stereo outputs to extermal gear, especially when used together.

But will that handle modular signals within your modular rack? Mixers aren't just for handling audio signals.

For example, mixing two or more lfo's to create more complex/interesting control voltages.

Panning, crossfading, muting, are also things mixers can bring to the table.

Eurorack modules are typically "hotter" than regular audio signals, so usually some sort of output module is used to convert to regular equipment levels outside of the rack. RME Fireface may handle that, I'm not familiar with it, but if so, you'd then need 3.5mm mono > 1/4" cables, correct?

I was under the impression that Polimaths works well stand-alone, but I'll look into NUSS. Maybe I want to get into it and I just don't know it yet :)

Re: Filters. These are a very personal choice, and I don't have much experience with Industrial, but I can say Ikarie and Wasp are highly thought of in general, and sort of "classics," especially the Wasp. I'd say go with your ears, though, when making a choice.

A quick glance shows at least 6 oscillators and only one 4-channel mixer. How do you plan to route your signals?

Do you need two different noise sources?

There is a decent mix of utilities other than mixers: switches, clock dividers, s & h, slew limiter, attenuator, et al.

Personally, I'd ditch several of the oscillators in exchange for more mixers and attenuvertors.

As someone with experience with ms pods, I'd highly suggest starting with a larger case that offers room to grow. Tip Top Mantis cases (with which I also have experience) provide the best bang for your buck, as well as lots of room to grow.

The Cyma Forma ALT looks and, more importantly, sounds pretty cool. 5-voice, pin matrix...seems like a great tool.

General rules of thumb re: monitor output entering mics resulting in (undesired) feedback:
- position mic to face away at 90 degrees from monitors
- turn down mic gain and/or monitor volume
- eqs (or filters) can help tame trouble frequencies
- place mic behind monitors/speakers

A bit of feedback can be a very powerful tool, as in above video example!

Quad vca can act as 4 channel mixer, but more importantly, a way to modulate your voices (or cv or anything else run thru it)...try patching 1st row "voice" into one channel and modulate with envelope generator or cv like lfos, etc to get a feel for basic operation...

if you're asking for such help, that's cool, but it would tell me you need to better master basics before expanding with more modules or a keyboard, etc.
Get a hang of 2 sequencers already in rack and the rest of it before adding more complexity, imho.

Led rope light with beat-synching, color changing, cuttable to length, includes tape and brackets for mounting.

If this doesn't work for you, try searching for "music-synced led rope lights" or similar.

Probably, similar products available at hardware stores such as Menards, or if you are okay using scamazon, they'd have something similar too. Not sure what the anagolous local companies would be in Japan, but look at hardware and/or lighting stores and they should be able to help you.

Well within budget, will move to the music, can adjust speeds/colors, cut to length, mountable, reusuable.

Just make sure you're getting a complete kit, getting individual items in led rope lighting is more fiddly and confusing than a complete kit.

How large of a venue?

Are you thinking of just a small accent lighting setup (e.g., led ropes that move to music somewhat), or the whole lighting setup for stage/crowd?

Do you have any experience with small scale dj light setups, and want to move past that to incorporate the modular music as sort of a video synthesis setup?

How much time do you have? What is your budget?

So many options and variables to consider in the realm of lighting, that you'd need to provide more specifics...

If just small accent lighting you can always just get creative with random light sources and make it "artsy"...at the risk of looking amateurish if not pulled off correctly, ha.

Definitely explore switches for changes between events, they can be as subtle or in your face as you like, but help add movement in otherwise static patches.

You could even use a random source to trigger the switch(es).

How are you getting along with your current 'Creature?'

I see a pretty reasonable setup already for many of the things you mention...do you find yourself hitting roadblocks with any of the current modules or workflows? Are you always saying, "I wish I had more xyz?" in the middle of a patch?

Perhaps I'd want to add a vc/sequential switch? Something simple like Doepfer's A-150/ A-151 can help create movement/variety.

Otherwise, it looks like you've got your noise/s&h/vca/voices/filters/delay/sampling/random/envelopes/looping mostly covered.

Maybe more lfos to help animate things? Batumi II or Quadrax really offer a lot of options in this department, Quadrax also a heavy-hitter on the envelope side of things. I haven't used the Ochd by divkid but that is a popular choice for lfos.

Maybe an attenuator/invertor/mixer like Happy Nerding 3x MIA?

Maybe more mixing in general, although I guess Maths can serve that function (as well as attenuverting) in a pinch if needed.

I agree, definitely onto something there. One note, Quadrax self-attenuates.

2 Hp trim may not be the attenuation you want. Something a little bit more like a 3xMIA could fit into this setup and add additional fleixbility with mixing, inverting, as well as attenuation.

You're def looking in the right directions, though, this would be a versatile setup for the money.

Also, uPlaits, uClouds, and uRings are available that take up less space, in case you wanted to sacrifice a bit of ergonomic value in exchange for HP.

A few minor details, if you haven't purchased any of these yet: Quadra is probably best swapped with the newer version Quadrax. Plaits may be better in micro version aka uPlaits (check out Cal synths or the like), same thing, slightly smaller. The Quadra and Plaits may otherwise be harder to track down or be used vs. new. IF that matters to you, may not. :)

In my humble opinion, can't go wrong with a Quadrax/QuadVCA/Plaits (or uPlaits)/Batumi setup. Covers VCA, mixing, envelops, random sources (random lfos from Quadrax, Batumi), LFOs (Batumi & Quadrax).

And plaits is obv a classic.

I've got the 188-2, and it's a very deep module, physically. So if you find one and decide to go this way, make certain it fits your case. You'll also need a filter to remove clock noise. I use the A-108.

Check out the A-188-1A, - 1B, -1C, -1D, -1X, and/or -1Y to see how they've split the larger tapped bbd into several smaller units with specific stage ranges.

I'm sure other BBD's exist from other companies, but that's probably a good place to start.
