I've just bought a second hand DU-SEQ unit and the thing won't power on. Has anybody had any experiences with this unit? The online manual is pretty scant on details but I'm assuming it only needs the standard 12v cable connecting.

... that brings the flexibility of a full-featured sequencer ...
-- FileTransferProtocolThis sequencer looks like a lot of fun!
But does it really have no reset CV-input, or am I missing something?
Wouldn't that mean it inevitably goes out of sync when restarting the master clock?A demo video with drums or at least a metronome alongside some loops of other sequencers would be super interesting to see!

Thanks. So, you are correct in that there is no CV-based Reset but there are actually many different ways to reset on the fly. (Shift + Play, Shift + Current Playback Direction, Shift + Sequence Selection, etc...) The hardware is based on the Notcurne Alchemy Platform (This is a free firmware for it) that orginally was just a CV keyboard with a 1v/o out, and a gate out. Only two jacks to work with. The Arp Of Darkenss has the same limitation but people don't seem to mind with everything else that it does.
I'm still actively developing firmare for all of these modules (old and new) and the rest features that have been implemented so far came from user suggestions, so I always welcome feedback.
Also, on the videos above, both videos show it in action with drums, and the intro video it is plaing along with drums, and a second sequence playing in sync along with it on an Arp Of Darkness. There will be more videos to come as well. Hope that helps!

Very excited to announce a new module. The Seventh Summoner
It's a powerful 1U performance sequencer that brings the flexibility of a full-featured sequencer into a compact form. At its core, it’s designed for real-time performance, giving you the ability to recall and manipulate up to six 32-note sequences on the fly. Adjust playback direction, slew, octave, note transposition, and clock division in real-time to craft evolving musical expressions.
And then, there is the Summoner... With the Summoner Sequence, you can record these same dynamic manipulations into a meta-sequencing layer. Chain your sequences in up to 16 steps, complete with all your adjustments, and watch them come to life like spirits in the grasp of a master Summoner.
If you already own a Slight of Hand, or Arp Of Darkness, don't buy this. It's a free firmware for you that can be flashed to your module via USB. Go to https://www.flatsixmodular.com/firmware to grab it. There's more coming.
What a dangerous module, beautiful.

It seems like the Mutable Instruments Plaits page has disappeard, although the module is still listed in the Module Finder.

Howdy!
I'm assuming that's 2000mA of +12v, so to give proper guidance it would be helpful to know what the -12v draw of your modules is. These power supplies output 2000mA +12v:
TipTop uZeus: https://modulargrid.net/e/tiptop-audio-uzeus--
4MS Row Power 45: https://modulargrid.net/e/4ms-company-row-power-45
Konstant Labs StrongPWR: https://modulargrid.net/e/konstant-lab-strongpwr
That said, if you know your modules for sure draw 2000mA +12v, you'd actually want a power supply that gives you an additional 20% or so (most module power ratings are averages, so you want to be able to handle fluctuations as well as onrush when you first power up the system). As far as I can tell, there really isn't much for power supply modules that do more than 2000mA, so you may be better off getting a case with integrated power supplies. The TipTop Mantis case is rated for 3000mA +12v and is generally regarded as the best bang-for-buck case on the market.
Cheers!
what power supply do i need to run 2000mA of modules?
any advice?
thank you
Sorry my previous post is tripled! I don't know how that happened but any moderator who sees this is welcome to delete two of them please! :-)
Anyways, I was just thinking, at least for my uses, it would be great if there was a new "float" section option that would be somewhat like the pedalboard builder? It could be setup similar to how the 1U row option is now but if "float row" is selected for 1U rows, all adjacent float rows would be combined into one big space, and even adjacent 3U rows could be set to "float"? Modules could be placed in a float row, rotated horizontally and vertically like pedals, and their power specs and cost would be added to the totals (if they are modules). And any modular rack that contains a float row can be opened in the pedalboard builder so that pedals and other gear like desktop synths and mixers etc. can be added to the float rows?
Oh, this has been a request since 2022?
+1 please, this is really what I'd love to have.
Marbles and Sloths are mostly in control, almost all coming from my Main case. Sloths is acting on the VCAs in SSF Vortices for slow transitions.
Enjoy your spare HP, don't rush to fill every last space, this is not like filling sticker books. Resist the urge to 'complete' your rack, its never complete so just relax.

Thanks for the write up on this . The CMOS 4017 has always seen the perfect chip to make a sequencer out of.
Now I want to see some make a compressor circuit using an LM3915 Audio Dot/Bar Display driver
to control multiple OpAmp gain.
look, I know it's just Rings into Clouds. But. It's a fun place to start.
... though wish I'd gotten an LFO bank that could be reset to have them more in sync but live amd learn, etc.
A delay based on the Princeton Tech echo/delay/‘verb chip.
Pretty straightforward build Sound is good, there’s some grit on high feedback levels which is interesting.
Good, small, reasonably inexpensive delay unit.
Such a lovely peice.

Today is the day after Christmas. It’s misty outside. Here in my attic, it’s cozy and warm.I’m drinking tea all day and making music. I wanted to create a patch which reflected this feeling.Music like a warm blanket. I used the polyphonic mode of my Hermod Plus by @squarpinstruments for that. Paired with the @vostok_instruments module line, it’s perfect for polyphony. Please enjoy and I wish you a beautiful 2025 full of love, health and beautiful bleeps and bloops. ❤️

This layout represents two, 3 unit racks that I possess.
I want to find a skin or faceplate replacement for the 2 Neutrons and the Proton. Something black with a more classic look, like the Pr0-1 and Kobol Expander.
Looking for sources, ideas.
Hope you enjoy 💪
Why are you trying to use that feature on something so small? Also - are you paying to use this site?
this site is and likely always will be a hugely frustrating experience to use on mobile (*sighs.. christ alive, i hate that fuckin' cat)

Same thing on Edge, Chrome and Safari :-)
My workaround is to always edit new copies of racks (and delete the old ones), as new racks seem to update thumbnails properly.
Would be nice with a fix, though. The problem has been around for more than 3 years now.
Wondering about this too. Something keeps the command center page from updating properly.
I'm using firefox if that matters. :)
I got a big problem with how PedalGrid's homepage is set for my desktop resolution. Upon first load, it looks like this:
But when the window's width is shortened to this, it fixes itself?
anybody knows how to do ratcheting with tiptop circadian rhythms?
From backside of the panel to the top of the power socket it measures 39mm.
So my aim 2-3 years ago was to build a dawless techno set up. it currently consists of drums (Alpha Base), Sampler (Blackbox), Analogue Bass (Impulse Command), Sequencer (Pyramid). The left hand side of my modular consists of a digital voice (Scanned, using envelopes from Impulse Command) & the right hand side consists of Serge inspired modules for blips & blips etc.. Effects are supplied by pedals on the Endline send. As you can see the case has 24HP to be filled. I am very interested to know your suggestions for this gap.
Cheers
Does anyone have a copy of the malekko voltage block firmware 1.6 ?

Looking for some advice on advancing my currently very bored rig. I already have the Vermona filter, Addac Mixer, HexInverter, Joranlogue I/O.
I'm hoping to use this rack to generate experimental tones and textures and loops to sample and play with in Ableton/Octatrack/outboard FX. Less interested in making a monophonic synth machine but it'd be good to have a voice to sing with if needed... I'm not sure about how I want to sequence or drive notes/steps, and I threw the Rene in last minute but feel least committed to it. Definitely aiming to look at my computer screen much less. I'm interested to hear any suggestions for more left-field modules or more ergonomic replacements.
I love artists like Barker, Lusine, Monolake, etc..
Thx u
Ive been building a song and video base, and plan to start gigging soon, so I thought I should start here when it comes to sharing.
This was just a fun robotic jam with some video modules to help as well.
Amazing! We have reached our funding goal for KOLOR. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported this project, I'm looking forward to see how you use KOLOR in your creative setup!
We still have a few days of the campaign to go so there is still an opportunity to secure a KOLOR module at this special Kickstarter rate, if you've been following along or would like to share it with your friends.

You may have answered your own question. Your rack seems pretty complete and looks pretty fun. If you're happy with it as is, I'd say leave it and enjoy it (and save the money!).
What are the goals with the synth and for expansion? It looks well-laid out, depending on what your aims are with it. Maybe switch out the passive mult for a buffered one, so you can use it more reliably for 1v/oct? You could consider a precision adder for manual control over transposition (I love the vpme.de T-43 for this), but I see that you already have MIDI connecvtivity so maybe this point is moot to your workflow. Really, other than suggesting smaller versions of modules to squeeze a few hp out here and there, I don't think there's need to change anything.
Enjoy the music-making!
Interesting, maybe not quite for me just yet until I buy my next Case.
Just spotted the Top image is showing a slightly older version, jpg must not have refreshed.

I'm always on the International Spaced Station! haha My usual tripod is in the other room so its actually a lazy camera angle.
Cheers & Merry Christmas
