I see. The conversion only happens when no EUR is in the database. Problem is, when the module is approved only the manufacturer can change data. I will drop him a note...

some modules contain USD price information approved by the manufacturer, but when EURO display is activated, the prices just get "converted" even though it's often impossible to get the module for that price (even 2nd hand used) in EU, for example https://www.modulargrid.net/e/make-noise-richter-wogglebug-2014 the actual EURO price is 275 eur

NB The EMW module is meant to be an "Arcade Noise" shift register thing but it isn't on modulargrid yet so I used another EMW 8HP Module.

I'm very much new to the world of modular, but am very adept when it comes to synthesis, be it digital or analog. I also have a keen interest in effects, and the modulation of said effects in creating weird sounds to add to my angular songwriting based approach.

With that in mind I've put together an interesting Eurorack to complement a DSI Pro 2, Korg Mono/Poly, Minibrute and a slew of drum machines, digital synths and pedals, so that's why there are not many filters in the rack, just the wasp one which I felt was interesting.

If you can see any massive problems within the rack that would stop it working, then please let me know. Hopefully I've had a good stab at this for a first go, and I think it looks fun :)

why isn't make noise selling the cv bus without their system?

Thread: My Artrack

This is such a cool looking rack. Looks really fun too.

Module name searches should probably be accent-insensitive.

For instance, when I search for "magnetosphere", I would expect to see https://www.modulargrid.net/e/eowave-magnetosphere.

Marciii !

Tu peux le mettre il est là ->

Oui !

After learning the basics, I'd like to start adding things to get more rhythmic sounds and patterns, not necessarily drum sounds. Bring on the glitch, for sure. What would you add to go in that direction?

Do you want to have some percussive modules in there that could also be used for rhythmic noise sources? Or just synthy stuff? Glitch-tastical obliterations of noise? There is just so much to choose from!

Hey just wanted to know if some guys are in the austrian/bavarian area for the Modular Music Days in Linz:

Further Informations here:
http://www.houztekk.com/modular-music-days/

These guys will be here:
+++ Schneiders Laden/ Alex4 Berlin
+++ Doepfer A-100
+++ Bastl Instruments
+++ Endorphin.es
+++ Ritornell (live performance)
+++ Patrick Pulsinger (live performance)
+++ Leoš Hort aka Hrtl (live performance)
+++ BR-Laser (live performance)
+++ Stefan Leberfinger (Hieber & Lindberg München)
+++ Wavemeister (Wien)
+++ Birdkids
+++ Andras Eichstaedt
+++ Raw Voltage - Vienna Modular Store
+++ Maximilian Meindl & Uciel

Looking to start small, and choose modules that will work well together while I learn them, and hopefully maintain their usefulness as my system grows. I intend to use a Beat Step Pro as a sequencer (avoiding the need for a midi converter or sequencer module initially, right?). Ultimately I'm working toward something that can be 1) rhythmically interesting/organic, and also be 2) melodic and musical to mesh with other instruments.

I'm very open to thoughts or suggestions. Not sure if I would need a quantizer or anything else? Is maybe MMG or Ripples a better choice than Optomix, IDK? Although I want to start affordably, I'm willing to spend, just don't want an overwhelming amount of gear to learn all at once.

excellent!

Done! :)

you need to cut this down to 12hp ;)

Thread: Rumburack

Thanks for this!

Studio sketch, rehearsal for Volt Divers : 'things that light'.
This is definitely becoming a track for my cassette release:

I'm planning on putting together a modular to serve as additional lfos/envelopes for my microbrute. Also thinking about adding delay, chorus, and maybe some other effects or utilities.

Other than an LFO module and an envelope module, what else is necessary as a minimum to start? Are there good cheap-ish cases that are newbie-friendly?

Good to mention that there are two versions of the Triatt,
the first one has no mixer functionnality, so the third output
is simply labelled C and not C/SUM

Just installed this module. WOW she is beautiful. All the way from gentle winds to aggressive pushing the barriers at the edge of insanity. Very well done Make Noise.

Yeah, and my wallet needs more Ben Franklins!

needs another row!

Thanks a lot, man!

£210 that's for mkI, the cost of parts, panels and pcbs for mkII far below that. people should not be fooled

Frequeny Central lists the price for an assembled module to £210, which roughly translates to 290 €.

To be fair, I don't see that Holti tries to sell it?

It should be clear that MG tracks all changes of specs open visible for everyone
Change Log

Nonetheless any manipulation of prices will set me on rage mode

Don't edit pages with bullshit prices in order to sell the module for more. You can ask whatever You want, but it costs a lot less than 5000 bucks or 320 euros (I'm looking at You Holti), around 200 usd/ 180 eur. Gosh, what a dickhead moves.

nice sounding module btw

A rack counter, visible close to the "new rack" button. Why? It's good to know beforehand if you're about to hit the maximum, and need to delete some of the not super important plans/racks. Especially useful if you plan to add a group of rack plans, say four variations of a single plan (then you can see if there is still room). And to know where your addiction is going... :)
Yes, one could count them manually, but really, in these days???

I'm curious about the mixing output part. Is the mix, pan done outside the 12U ?

Great soundscapes!

Hi all. I'd love some feedback on these tracks that I recently shared on Soundcloud. Thanks for listening!

Sequenced and recorded with Cubase using old and new analog synthesizers, including this modular system:

Switched out for a Verbos Harmonic Osc today. Really love this module. So versatile! And lush!

Thread: Change Log

Did some mini tweaks.
The marketplace template includes now a code snippet to embed images from photo sites like imgur.
Funny enough some guys already commented on that template photo.

Amazing!!!

an easy, duct-tape hack for you within the site architecture then would be to iframe this for us, two columns side by side

The mobile users won't like this, though...

How do we correct a mistake in a Manufacturer name?

Just report it in the Forum :)
I have fixed it, thanks.

I would like to see the ability to have multiple racks on the same page. For example, have number of racks and then it splits and has rack one, rack two, etc. It would be nice to be able to layout a large multi-rack system on a single page.

That will not come very soon but there is a nice workaround already:
you can open two racks in different browser windows and you can copy and paste modules between the browser windows with c, x and v keyboard shortcuts.

Looks good. Just a thought. If you get a more compact mult you could add maybe a little 4:1 mixer for more possibilities.

Rack updated! Comments most welcome. I'm combining this set up with some looper/delay guitar pedals. Mainly feeding flutes, radio, and my Atari Junk Console into the rack to see what happens...

see it at http://www.addacsystem.com/product/addac-accessories/addac0015

Big ask (??) would it be possible to add a further Doepfer style case with the ADDAC extension?

Thanks for your reply John, I did check the videos and I find the module quite interesting, but my experience tells me that when so many people sell something that much and so quickly something has to be wrong.
I'm glad you love it though, to each its own right? :)
I'd love to try it myself!
