This is what I actually own (or have on order and on its way) and usually mirrors the actual positioning of my modules. I update it as I acquire new gear.

Both mults have four sockets bussed to the bottom 9U to patch from the sequencer/trigger stages to the top 6U without running long patch leads.

Hi, just wanted to let you know that I has excellent transactions with @zfrucht and @ Subjected. Very quick, smooth and the modules looked like spanking new!

yufo@thanks *signalsforstarships for the GMØ. great transaction. good stuff

THIS... is a mature name on a module;€

These are the modules in my first complete skiff, a Moog 104hp case - https://www.moogmusic.com/products/accessories/moog-eurorack-case

Next I'm planning on getting a Tip Top Mantis 2 x 104hp case, to add a second synth voice or two and some math & logic modules, and maybe some drum module(s).

Not sure if this is the place

User christophefur has listings up and is basically taking loans on modules and not selling them. I purchased a Rings from him and after the time he told me he'd ship, he had not and was not responding to my messages asking for an update. I noticed he changed the listing the day after I purchased from only accepting Venmo, to accepting Paypal and Venmo. He then told me a bunch of personal info he was going through and how he was going to refund me, but he doesn't have the money at the moment and that he didn't actually want to sell the modules, which means he spent my money and kept the goods I purchased.

He has a Braids for sale and I would use extreme caution if you're going to purchase. From what our exchange was he has no intention to sell, you will be loaning him money.

Sorry to hear that, hawkfuzz.
Christophefur, if you read this, you know what to do: refund the module or just ship it instantly. There are no excuses.

View "Good Traders on the Marketplace" as a single page
Even better: On a module sale page, next to [Contact seller], make a link to that single page.
(with mentions of the seller's name highlited?)
Possibly also list number of posts, number of submitted modules and other info pertaining to
reputation as a trade partner.

What module for the trigger input of function...
Thankss

Just received a module from@Jbaptiste .

He sent it within the hour after receiving payment. Great job on the packing (original box inside bubble padded box). The module is flawless.

Any time again...highly recommended!

Hello, all. I am new here and am seeking some advice on building my first modular set up. My primary concern is processing external audio, not too interested in oscillation (have plenty of those). Kinda thinking of this as a glorified pedal board without all the inconvenience of having to carry around pedals. I would like to go for a portable set up for live noise performances. I'm considering the Power Lunch by Synth Rotek as my case (http://store.synthrotek.com/Power_Lunch). From there, I only know that I would like to have the Phonogene.

Do you guys have an advice on other modules that will allow me to manipulate external sounds into completely new ones? I need something that can process contact microphones, oscillators, guitars, vocal microphones -- you name it, I need this thing to destroy it.

Hey all, I'm Phil from the UK.
Even having 15U x 168hp, I won't lie to you, I don't really know what I'm doing. I could spend hours patching and come up with nothing. I suppose that's the nature of it though, I'm learning.....

How about a rating system, or a small comment section on the advertisment page where people can give comments on their experience with the seller.
This way you can decide if you trust the seller based on multiple opinions?
And you wont have too search the forum to find out about it.

Hi Marin

The heads and tails concept of probability is the main function of mutable instruments branches which is a small and inexpensive module.

I think this is a special community and if your choosing to trade, shit can happen.. If it does.. Own your shit and deal with it as a team to satisfy the desires of the parties involved BOTH to the best of the ability. I would bend over backwards if I seen another is being reasonable.. In the same respect, be reasonable. Talk it out. It's not that odd that both can have pleasing outcomes ;)

Hello,
it's been two years i'm on modulargrid and enjoy it. I made nice trades with various people but lately had a bad one. I won't name this person but since i paid him via paypal i have no response and still waiting my module (wich i assume will never arrive). How can i deal with it? Paypal won't refund me since it's not a commercial trade.
A feedback system would be a good thing to start with...

Thanks. A friend built it for me. I'd like to learn to solder and so forth, and hope to down the road, but only so many hours in a day.

disquiet.com

Hey Marc. Cool rig. Did you build your Radio Music?

Thanks for the impulses in the reply. That was new to me and helpful, I tried a bit with noise now.
I actually think of adding a third 104 row (my Rack is actually a Moog Two Tier Case that can be expanded quite easily).
What do you mean by "heads or tails" - it does not seem to be a specific module name...?

In stock now!

I have an idea. I think that the links in the "Module Market" section to eBay and the Marketplace are really useful. Does it make sense to add Reverb.com to the mix? I've been finding some interesting used euro modules on their site.

Anyone knows where I can find one of these in Europe?

Great interaction with @darmklacht and @mexicane - very pleasant and superfast communication, great packaging. Highly recommended!

this is that was great

Thoughts:
- Situate FX near mixer (ABC!?) for sends/feedback.
- CP3 near oscillators.
- RND next to Clouds, it has attenuation built in.
- Maths at top? Seem to adjust frequently and it gets buried below.
- In/Out and MST Mult to other side - talk to external noisemakers and BSP easier.

Finally, the case is full (the bottom row is to keep track of what's in my Happy Ending Kit).

Hey martin. Noise is a basic form of random and the mother32 has a noise output jack. Probability is another useful form of random( heads or tails) . Looks like you have filled the racks so at some later point when you expand you might consider something like ornaments and crime which is also useful for other functions

here is a revised version with more dynamic parts (lfo, vca, adsr, slew), math function

Hi Folks,

this is my currents Setup, together with an ARTURIA KeyStep, which I use for both playing the Lifeforms SV-1 and for Chord sequencing of an external ROLAND Boutique JX-03.

I have to say that so far I did not yet make use of all the capabilities of the Mother, the Hammer and the Atlantis.
However, I do miss a bit of Randomness in my Rig. Should I add something specific for that, or is it just a matter of time and understanding the capabilities of my current modules?

Thanks
Martin

i understand. no audio knowledge is an overstatement. will edit.
i do have experience fiddling with syhthesizers like ms20 and the chains in reason
im interested in experiencing hands on what is under the hub of "instruments" , hence my "lowlevel" reference

If you are completely new to sound synthesis, I would recommend starting with a used/low-cost synth or groovebox or even some basic synth software prior to jumping into modular. It's an expensive and complex place to start learning the basics. You won't have everything you need to make entire sounds (aka full "voices") unless you get a ready-made system. As a true beginner you'll get much more out of an all-in-one machine. A crawl->walk->run sort of thing.

If you are deadset on starting directly with modular, a Moog Mother-32 (or another semi-modular) may be something to look at. You'll outgrow it as a stand alone but you can use it to start to build your modular system.

Also, the manuals for most stand-alone synths assume the user has no prior knowledge. Most of the time they will have an introduction to sound synthesis. Even downloading a manual for a "virtual analogue" synth and reading the introduction will help. Most module manuals (IF they even have one) assume you know the basics already.

hell0 gridworld ,
first-timer here, some patching experience with ms20, reason, vvvv
looking to lern about (lowlevel)
- sound-synthesis (from drums to drones)
- gate compositions
- feedback possibilities (for both cv and audio)

ModularGrid Rack
interested in anything you would have to say
considering the goals,
- should i worry about more robust vco ?
- should i worry about needing multiples of one specific part ?
- anything i could add/replace/drop ?

thanks

That's correct, the trs panel is a separate purchase. This is because depending on your case, you may not need it. The 7u case has the trs jacks built in already. The 4u case does not.

I edited the MG entry to reflect the actual Intellijel description.

The description here says it "comes with" the TRS jack module, while the Intellijel site says it "connects to" it. I assume the Intellijel site is correct and the expander module is required, but it's not quite clear to me.

yeah, when someone creates a new duplicate that is very obviously not new. i mark it as duplicate, provide a link to the proper module and sometimes insert a random weird picture. (hopefully they will laugh) and hopefully the other users that added it will move themselves to the correct one. (less administrative burden on MG)

Awesome module

Hi, I updated the description with the FDP link. Cheers.

Thanks to @tFunk for good sale of Optomix. Fast response, fast dispatch, well packed. Module in perfect condition as described. He also included screws with nylon washers. Recommended.

I second that :-)

  • The Top Modules and Popular Modules lists were generated in realtime and needed 15sec to be called. They are cached now. Cache is refreshed every 2h.
  • Modules can be correctly sorted alphabetic now in the marketplace list view.

For some reason I had totally missed the "Available in Marketplace" function in the regular module browser... Great, thanks.
There's always something I didn't know at MG... fascinating.

Re the "All" button: Yes, of course - thanks.

Thread: Marketplace

Sorting modules after Module Name doesn't seem to work properly - at least not when I'm trying to.

Thanks for reporting. I did a fix. Modules are ordered by their names now.

Some are sorted correctly, some not. Personally, I would prefer the option to sort primarily after Manufacturer, and secondarily after Model. =)

That is a bit complicated in the marketplace list.
But you can do that in the module browser! E.G.
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/modules/browser?SearchMarketplace=3&SearchShowothers=1&order=manuf&direction=asc

That link shows you all modules from the marketplace sold in Europe ordered by manufacturer. You can use the standard search elements to specify the search, e.g. show all 8HP VCAs sold in USA.

As a complement for the page buttons (1, 2, 3, etc) I would very much like a Show All button. This way I can use the web browser's search function to quickly find what I'm looking for.

Have to test if this would impact the server too much ...
