So...
There is a background bit of BP filtered noise with random quant modulation from the 2hp RND then messed with in Clouds.
There is a Pip-pip noise which is a pinged filter with an envelope fired at it from an ALM PipSLope with a bit of Pico DSP delay.
I use all 4 parts of the ADDAC103, Bass Drum, Ratcheted kind of high tapping sound, then 2 different tone Toms. Hih-Hats come from the Patching Panda Hatz, Clap comes from the Prok CP, additional persussion from Roland TR09.
There is a filtered Saw wave bass note coming out of the Befaco EvenVCO triggered from the Noise Engineering Bin Seq, other sequecing from the Robaux LL8 and Dni Pro Dot.
Basically I was trying a patch with no Pitch CV.

This was literally a slowed a tweaked part of a more hectic patch.

Some simple parts of a patch I was playing with Marbles is on the Pitches and Triggers then a sort of subtle envelope from the WMS/SSF ADSRVCA which is also tweaking the Rebach VCF-AB filter which is simply filtering the Sine wave from the MakeNoise STO, which heads into delay from the Erica Pico DSP, some old shortwave radio samples go through the Monsoon Clouds and there is some subtle percussion which I tried to keep restrained and left the sort of Piano sound just to do its thing with minimal tweaking.
Cheers for Listening, it was recorded in one-take, apologies for any crackles from my crappy soundcard!
I picked an old photo do go with this slightly somber piece, taken on 120 film with an old Halina camera.

Pan Law, everything is better cooked in a Cast Iron Pan ;-)
I filled the current Gap with a Happy Nerding 4x Stereo Mix (for some more channels) and a Doepfer A138sv, there may be another A138sv on the horizon just for setting the positions of percussion. The more i read up the more I am drawn to the Befaco Hexmix and Hexpander.
Cheers for taking the time to put all that together.

You might want to add more mixer channels, even with the Squid Sample just running the Mix out you are maxing out the STMIX which leaves you less options for patching.
I've recently bought a Doepfer A-138sv for sub-mixing percussion https://www.modulargrid.net/e/doepfer-a-138sv You could kick out the Befaco OUT and the 2x Mults to have room for it.
But don't listen to me if you don't want, these are also my limitations :)

btw.... there is nothing stopping you follow your own path, though keep in mind some of the feedback from this forum which 'may' help guide future choices of gear.
It can feel like they are here to "Rip you a new one" but I'm sure they are all lovely xxx and actually trying to help.
You could start out with quite a lot less and still enjoy what you make before progressing to more modules.
But yeah.... Don't get into Modular, It will really screw *you up...

Marbles is in control of the gates and pitches.
I made a little Snare from a fairly snappy envelope, some noise and a bit of ADDAC103 and the rolls come from the Ratchet on the DNi Pro DOT, other percussion triggers are from the Roboux LL8, I'm enjoying the Pr0k Clap module and I'm mixing/panning the percussion in my first Doepfer module A-138sv, there is the MakeNoise STO doing one part and the Befaco EvenVCO doing the more tweaked filtered bits which are filtered in the Omsonic Funky Ladder Filter, there's some Monsoon Clouds reverb and some 2hp Verb and some Erica Pico DSP reverb..... all the verbs!
Quite enjoyed this one, I need to dig a bit deeper withe the LL8 and work on more variation or progression on the percussion.

Thanks @GarfieldModular I've just dropped the BPM of this to 80 and I'm adding some other bits, weird how a bpm change can alter the character so much, I guess it gives the LFO's more time to do their thing.

All good suggestions, Soundstage is sounding good on @troux work, feels to open up the mix.
I've kinda had my eye on that PanMix cos you can CV it for Pan and Level @ThunderSound the ever-growing wishlist needs pruning regularly, its kinda slowly shrinking but shows growth-spurts after a prune, feeding it regularly with ModularGrid doesn't help!

A patch that started out very incoherent, took me ages to find the sweet spot in tuning the STO to the Even VCO, got the 2hp Tune in the same scale as the 2hp ARP, glad I persisted with this as it was proper wonky.
No filters were used in this just the STO's Shape control and the DannySound Timbre on wave-folding duty.
Newest module in the rack is the Pr0k Clap, Hats come from Patching Panda Hatz, incidental percussion and Bass drum come from ADDAC103. A bit of Monsoon Clouds Reverb on the slow notes and and Erica Pico DSP on the twinkly Arp parts. Extra percussion came from the Roland TR-09.
Soz for the occasional crackle, thats my crappy soundcard.
Cheers for listening to over 8 minutes!

DOT for Euclidean, LL8 for more of a fixed structure, I may end up using the Burst for more Twinkly synth bits rather than percussion.
Yeah I watched that Mylar YT, Percall does look lots of fun.
Rosie looks nice for a bit of end of line Reverb to tie things together.
MixZ sounds interesting, though would obviously couple best with load of other Tiptop modules.

Bit by bit I am edging towards having a row specifically for percussion and I'm interested in what other people have for Mixing and Panning etc.
I'm currently a little bit short of Mixing capability having sold the Intellijel Mixup I had and I'm considering the next step in mixing.
At the moment I have:
Most of the percussion sources going via a WMD/SSF Quad Atten then into a Omsonic UPE (Universal Panning Expander) so I can tweak levels and Pan, I do like a bit of Reverb on Hatz so mostly send its outs separate to the UPE.
I fancy eventually upgrading the Mixing to a Befaco Hexmix with the STMix feeding it, though it would seem a waste to use up all the Hexmix channels with panning mono percussion sounds around so alongside the UPE I may get a Doepfer A-138s Mini Stereo Mixer.
But how would YOU do it??

Smooth Random from the 2hp RND and two speeds of LFO from Divkid Instruo Ochd going into the Ai Synthesis Matrix Mixer and splitting different amounts off around the system. This is mainly for tweaking the Danny Sound Timbre which I'm really enjoying, tone is controlled simply by the 2hp Tune being plugged into the Befaco EvenVCO and one of the blended outputs from the Matrix mixer is sort of fluttering the Bias knob on the 2hp Tune. There is also some non-Timbre sound split off from the Even VCO that goes through the Omsonic FLF filter. Effects are Monsoon Clouds just for Reverb on the Timbre feed then 2hp Verb on the filter output.
Percussion from Roboux LL8 / DNi Pro DOT, ADDAC103, Patching Panda Hatz and claps and snares from Roland TR09.
Cheers for listening :)

Whats the WMD Metron like? https://www.modulargrid.net/e/wmd-metron Should be OK for Gate length. You can also slow-clock a sequencer for an extended gate time, a really simple module for this would be the Noise Engineering Bin Seq if you want fairly fixed or manually tweaked gate times. https://www.modulargrid.net/e/noise-engineering-bin-seq

Controlling: Triggers from Roland TR-09, Clocks into 2hp Euclid into 2hp Turning machine into 2hp Tune, Roboux LL8 & DNi Pro DOT.
VCOs: Befaco EvenVCO, Sine split off through Dannysound Timbre
VCFs: #Omsonic Funky Ladder Filter & Happy Nerding HNVCF
Percussion: ADDAC103 & Patching Panda Hatz & Roland TR-09's hats
Effects: Monsoon Clouds Reverb & 2hp Verb & Erica Pico DSP
Modulation: ALM Pip Slope, WMD/SSF ADSRVCA, Divkid Instruo Ochd, Noise Engineering Clep Diaz for clocked LFOs.

Percussion sequencing from Roboux LL8 and Euclidean from DNi Pro DOT, one out on the LL8 also pings a filter with some noise going into it, then the bass line comes from the 2hp Turing machine via 2hp Tune.
