I think this fellow wiggler got confused on the "submit a module" button.

Should all be fixed now.

This is the same as this, right?
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/orthogonal-devices-er-102

A suggestion: If it is, you could upload your beautiful image to the old addition.

You should probably have this and your other cell 48 as a private module (check off "Do not list this module" near the bottom of the edit page)

the correct depth of this module is 65mm.

Thanks - I added the RS-230. I also added the "multiple" tag for it so other can find it on ModularGrid when they search for multiples.

Nice! There's also the Analogue Systems RS-230.

Bought a µVCF from @Tomek . My first purchase via the marketplace. No problems at all.

This is my rack in its "final" state, which will be mostly realized in the morning when my package arrives from Control Voltage. This order includes the Folktek Matter, Make Noise Function and Rosie, and the Mutable Instruments Links. The Division 6 VM should be here by Wednesday, which just leaves the Omnimod, which I pre-ordered in November.

There are actually 2 racks, a custom-built 104hp teak box, and a Pittsburgh Modular Cell 48, visually divided by the right edge of the rightmost Make Noise blank.

I will have mine in a "matter" of hours. Totally stoked.

psshhh!!! How stupid of me haha! In my mind I was stuck on the original design which was wider. Thanks for clearing that up. Feel free to call me out in the future as well - I need it sometimes ;) Oh, also be sure to check the Matter page on the folktek site - I've added a tips and tricks section that I'll try to continue expanding on. Cheers! Hope you're enjoying Matter.

It's actually 21HP! ;)

I pulled the Pittsburgh M3 based on user reports that it didn't function well as a buffered mult, especially for pitch-sensitive applications. Apparently the module has been discontinued anyway.

A selection of buffered mults. The top two rows (3U and 1U) are dedicated multiples. The bottom row features modules that can do additional things, such as attenuate, invert, or even mix the input.

A multi-tracked yet 'naked' demo - E350 is the sole sound source for this piece, no filtering/EQ or compression/limiting

In case you're sitting on the fence on this one - here's a piece developed from a jam on the 2nd day I had this thing

So how long does it take for my Unicorn to materialize?

Thread: Zoot Horn

You kids and your fancy Zoot Horns. In my days all we had was a single broken Doepfer VCO and a Mult.

The comment section for racks is already there. We have this for a long time, but only a few guys uses it.
Maybe the implementation sucks.
Comments are displayed under the users Rack but technical are a MG Forum thread.
So if someone comments your Rack you find it on your Rack page AND in the MG Forum.
Is that what you mean or do I misunderstand you?

Today I tried to to connect my system-1m to Ableton using the USB interface. The interface is recognised by OSX as a core audio 12 in 12 out device so I know I have the special Roland driver installed correctly.
I have not found any documentation of the port mapping and so far I can only get a signal at the first four inputs. The first pair is the main outputs from the synth (including effects). Number 3 and 4 is the Gate and CV inputs.

What about the remaining 8 inputs? I've tried to monitor them in putting signals to all inputs but I can't detect any activity at all.

For the 12 outputs I've only figured out the first pair as the mains.

Thanks! If the PGH Mixer turns up we'll sort something out :-)

good alternative to a Erbe-Verb at half the price and rack space

Thread: J3RK Fad3r

this module is already listed in the database. follow this link https://www.modulargrid.net/e/j3rk-fadex to add it to your rack or simply search for "FADEX" in the "module name" field of the "module finder" section of your personal rack......you'll see it popping up there......cheers

Thread: J3RK Fad3r

thank you.
why is it unlisted?
i wanted to add it in my rack.

My modular synthesizer such as it is on January 1st, 2016. But soon other modules has to come !!

I remind that in this system stand 3 modules are to sell

My pleasure.

Cheers,

KNYST

I finally managed to crop the image! Now it's ok!
Thanks, I made it 12hp because i had that space and i wanted one so hardly!!
Thanks for your suggestion.

I unlisted this addition, but your first addition is still there as a DIY version.
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/other-unknown-triple-wave-folder
If you don't think it should be available to others, just make it unlisted, and it will be a private module for you.

Nice panel, by the way.

It seems like the image needs to be cut - it has a spacious white frame around it.

The best,

KNYST

Hi KNYST,
Yes, that's a DIY. I choose DIY/assembled because i made the panel but the circuit board is from Toppobrillo.
I added the module because i made it 12hp wide and that's the only that fits into my actual modular.
I am wondering why the image doesn't take the right dimension...

Thanks, all the best.

Hi sgurz,

Yes, Toppobrillo made the circuit board, but this is a DIY project, right?
Their own module is already listed.

We already have these:

All the best,

First of all, love the site. It was obviously created with some passion, creativity, and incredible attention to detail. Thanks for making it available to us!

I was wondering if it would be possible, or how difficult it would be, to add a parameter to the advanced search function. Specifically, power consumption. Sometimes, when you're getting close to a full rack, you might be pushing the limits of your power supply.

It would be really nice for example, if you were looking to add a module from a particular function category, but you wanted to put a max limit on the power consumption. Perhaps a sort option could be added to sort by power draw. Either option would be helpful; both would be even better.

Thanks for considering my suggestion.

I don't really come from outer space. It's a condition of mental divergence.

ModularGrid Rack

Finally about to start putting together a system. I'm gonna DIY most of my modules to keep cost down and just cuz I like building stuff. Here's a basic set up I'm gonna start with. Pretty sure I have most of my bases covered but any advice/suggestions are appreciated.

Thnx
rocketshipajax

Ok, first of all thx for your reply! Getting down to the details I'd explain better my ideas:

1) You're right, I have to organize things better. Could be a solution putting close to the others each VCO, VCA, SEQ etc? Or is it better to create a regular row disposition? (e.g. in every row I'm going to put at least an Osc, Vca and so on..)

2) Currently I'm doing techno but I don't know exactly what I'm searching about with the modular system. Actually I'd love to make cinematic things and soundtracks but of course mixing them with bass drum coming from my PC. I know it's strange, I want to be creative but not irrational. My first ideas were just: "creating ALIEN melodies and mixing together with a sort of -sounds of nature- (do I need a Noise generator??)
So I hope you got the point: maybe I'll go with a 4/4 BD behind experimental melodies, no mathematically clocked sometimes.
Any modules should I buy or replace to fit with my ideas? :) I need your help to catch my aims!

3) The last but not least: I've put the Intellijel audio interface inside the modular because I want to pass through the system with my piano recordings and also with my external synths, seeing what is coming out.

The fourth row is empty so I can add any module I want in the future!

Thx for your time!

What are you using this for?
Also I suggest you organise things that are already there a bit better first, it seems a bit random. For example the linix should probably be next to the audio interface. It will be a bit easier to see what you're doing that way.
Also is the bottom row supposed to be blank except brains or has the site glitched?

I bet this has been asked about before but could it be set up so others could allow comments on their rigs? It would certainly reduce the back and forth shenanigans on MUFFS and people could have specific dialogues on rigs and additions/subtractions etc.

I guess you could have a "comment" on this rig option which the user could turn/off on "the user has turned off comments about this post" kind of deal?

I love Modular Grid and think that's the only thing i keep wishing for.

Thank you for the consideration

Patrick

hy guys :)

This is my first modular synth, I've put together many modules I love,
any suggestions? What else can I add?

perhaps with the same amount of money I can make something better?
Pleaseee take care of me, I'm the newest in the forum

Had a pleasant deal with @askthedust
Fast delivery and item as described!

Hi there,

I had the same thing happening when I started to assemble my first rack just about three months ago. I am using the Synthrotek Deluxe Power with two of the Noise Filtering Distribution Boards. After having installed just a few modules (way below what the Deluxe Power can handle power-wise), the -12V LED and the LEDs on the modules were constantly flashing and the system became unusable. After lots of testing I figured out that the WMD Pro Output module was causing this.
I hope the guys at Synthrotek don't mind if I post the response I got from them after asking for help via email, since this might be helpful for you as well:

Reply from Synthrotek: "I believe what you are experiencing is the power influx when you first turn on the system. Each module has capacitors in it that need to charge, so when a module is first turned on, it will draw more current than what they will when they are running. I believe that the Pro Output may just have a large influx, or really big caps that take a lot of juice to fill up, and the Deluxe Power module may not have been able to keep up with how much it wanted."

This was most likely what was happening in my rack, since the WMD Pro Output has two insanely large capacitors on its backside. Since removing the Pro Output, I didn't have any problems with the Deluxe Power anymore.

So how long does it take for my Unicorn to materialize? I sent my 22 bucks a few days ago now, and still can't expand my rack to its actual 200hp width. I promised those bucks a unicorn, and they are getting restless ;-)

It's definitely the SynthRotek / MeanWell causing the problem. There are no ribbons connected backwards. The two Doepfer bus boards are fine as well, I just tried removing my Doepfer DIY power from another case and used it to power the installed boards on the new case and everything works fine, with lots of modules being happy.

60 mA @ +12 V
56 mA @ -12 V
0 mA @ +5 V

I also use the same power supply, and have faced similar problems mainly when using the Flying Bus.
I switched to the Noise Filtering Power Distro board and miraculously this corrected the problem. This is powering 2 rows of 104HP using 2 distro boards daisy chained via the molex cable. Has worked like a charm. Also, if you plug your ribbons in backwards you will also get the flashing lights thing. This is a protection mode that it goes into to prevent you from frying your modules, so I would examine that as well..

Hope this helps, good luck!

Hi!
I've saw this:

It seems it's going to be something from pittsburgh modular...
Anyone have ideas of what is going to be?
