Hey modular nerds, here to report @Soundmonkey. They received the cash for 2 Make Noise modules: LxD & DXG and never answered after the money was received (approval on their end). Meanwhile saw ohter users adding thumbs down on their profile, I reached out to them and apparently also bought the same modules and never heard about it anymore as well. Here's all informations gathered to identify them:

Hey lads, I was scammed by @Adartse. Paid him 18 days ago and have had silence since his last message making excuses 10 days ago. I see now his account is suspended. Paypal name Finn Becker. Sent 120 for a make noise LXD and never got it. Seems like theres a few around scamming for the make noise modules atm so be careful.

Collide 4 was purchased on 25 March. Price listed in EUR and seller location in Berlin, but seller's PayPal account was set up to receive PLN. I confirmed with the seller that this was how they wanted it before sending. Paid using PayPal goods and services (thankfully) and added the agreed on shipping costs plus 3.7% to cover fees. When seller was hit with exchange fees that left them short, they insisted that I send an extra EUR 20 via F&F (actually ended up being EUR 21.99 due to my getting hit with the exchange fees this time). Because the price for the module was still very good, I agreed to do this although I did express that I wasn't happy about it due to the listing having been in EUR.
Seller originally committed to shipping the module by 27 March at the latest. When I followed up on 28 March to request tracking details they promised a new latest shipping date of 31 March. I have received no responses to subsequent follow up messages and emails since 28 March.
Update as of 07 April 2026: It's been 10 days without any response from sugarfreedaddy via Modulargrid, email, or PayPal messaging. I've escalated a claim to PayPal and will continue to share updates here.
Update as of 16 April 2026: I was lucky to have had buyer protection in place, as I never heard back from sugarfreedaddy. Neither did PayPal, so they refunded the main payment I sent. Hopefully the other users who were experiencing issues will manage to come out without major losses too. It's still unclear what the circumstances were and I'm not going to speculate publicly, but lesson learned: I'll be avoiding F&F in future unless the transaction is with someone I actually know in person (regardless of rating and even if prior deals went smoothly).
before saying the name I want to check what you think for having paied for a module, got an envelope with some gym pants and got the proposal from the seller for being reimboursed for the 50%.

Hey, I’m posting here in hopes of getting a response from @sugarfreedaddy as I am having problems with him as well.
I’ve seen a lot of positive feedback about him, including from people I trust, so I’m assuming something unusual is going on. However, I sent payment nearly two weeks ago and communication has largely stopped since then.
Five days ago, I received a message mentioning ModularGrid’s message limit and stating that tracking information would be sent via email. However, no tracking details have been provided, and I have not received any further replies despite multiple follow-ups via ModularGrid, email, and PayPal.
At this point, I simply need clarity on the situation. I would appreciate either confirmation that the item has been shipped, with tracking information, or a refund if the item has not been sent.
I hope this message helps re-establish contact so we can resolve this quickly.

I paid for the product on April 2nd, and now he's not responding to emails.
This is the wonderful answer the scammer gave me:

Oh, sadly you posted this on 4th of April so I did not know. I also purchased the same Collide 4 module on 31st of March (the module is still on their sale list!!!). I have dealt with this seller before, a year ago or smth. and everything went smooth back then, so I used PayPal F&F this time. So it looks like the seller sold the same module to several buyers consciously.
Never heard back from the guy via ModularGrid, PP messaging and emails...
unfortunatelly, I have similar experience with @sugarfreedaddy. First, smooth communication, then I payed for the module (3.4.) and since then no communication at all. Tried to write him everywhere I could (MG, email, IG), but no response. Now I see his MG accound has been suspended.
This is interesting, since I have read in this forum, that several trades were made with this guy, and some of them appeared to be flawless, and he has also quite positive feedback. I hope this is only some kind of misunderstanding.
Unfortunately, at this point I think its safe to assume that this is not just a misunderstanding considering:
The number of people having issues (looks like it could be 9 or more)
The same module being sold to at least two people (both of whom paid) with no indication in the ad of multiples being in stock

The situation was: I purchased a module, he did not send it. He was "unable" to send it, he was also "unable" to refund me.
I think that the situation was quite similar to what is being experienced here (with several purchasing the same module)
I talked to him via messenger. I had to insist a lot, during weeks, months. He was never "able" to refund me, but after weeks he ended sending me other modules for similar value.
I don't know if you guys will find a way to get your money back. I'm just writing this here to encourage you all not to give up.

Purchased a Verbos Harmonic Oscillator on 31 March for €600. Payment sent directly via bank transfer after agreeing off-platform on WhatsApp. No tracking number provided. No response to messages since I paid.
I had successful transactions with him before, last in January (four modules, EUR 1,185 total, delivered via DHL from Warsaw). That prior shipment included a DHL label with the seller's full name and residential address in Warsaw, despite his ModularGrid location being listed as Berlin.
I will initiate a bank recall and will be filing a fraud report with the relevant prosecutor's office in Warsaw via email. If anyone else is filing or wants to coordinate, PM me.
Also scammed for a Collide4 (paid on 31/3). I've reported the crime to my country's police (I don't think it'll do much but might add up in some way) and just pm'd ratman77531.

When he shipped mine on March 25. he sent me a proof on which several parcels were shown.
About that Collide 4 "multiple sale", as i could understand he sometimes buys modules with the guys from Soundofyou when they are a bit short money, so perhaps he got more than one Collide 4 that way...

I suggest, you guys get in touch with Sound Of You store. Those guys might know him well as i noticed that my Vhikk X has been sent by Sound of You (i just checked that out on the parcel as someone here asked me for).
Who knows, might he have a serious health issue or an accident? Shit happens...

It´s not a bad seller, but I would like to give an important hint, since he lives in Island. Be aware, that you need to pay a reasonable about of taxes, since he naturally declares shippings with full module worth and Island is in this matter NONE-EU. A hint from Benwah or even better a info in his ad would have clarified this upfront.
There are other options to ship from Island, which doesn´t cause such high taxes, since I got already in the past other stuff from there without any additional costs.
So, just be aware of this. Otherwise Benwah is a nice seller!

I think Sound Of You no longer exists and is now Signal Sounds Europe.
I guess user sugarfreedaddy worked other there and was making some black market on MG. I already bought from him, the modules were brand new but discounted, I guess he was saving/stealing the TVA from the shop.
And so, perhaps all of this had to come to an abrupt end with the arrival of Signal Sounds.

I sadly have to report I got scammed by user Rajkaiii who sold the same modules both to me and at least another user (als) here.
This is the original ad Divkid OCHD & Expander and it had linked imgur pictures that looked legit and I couldnt find elsewhere on the net.
The user Rajkaii said his name was "Justin" and wanted F&F transfer but then gave a Paypal account ("Patrick Busch" @PatrickBusch52) that didnt match his name and said it was a friend. After some messages back n forth with him offering shipping off if I did F&F I (in retrospect a good thing) insisted on doing a G&S transfer instead which he agreed to but then gave me another paypal address (Carlos Taype Meneses @01taype806) that he said was to his business partner for G&S deals.
He said he would ship it the next day and immediately send me the tracking number but has ghosted me since he got the money and no response from the paypal account either.
Yesterday I saw he got a negative review from another user so contacted him to see if he had the same experience. He confirmed he also got scammed but this time the seller used a 3rd Paypal account (@ManuelKruger29) which got blocked after his transaction.
I've started the claims process with Paypal and looks like I'm going to get the funds back at least.
The seller Rajkaiii still has one ad open so please beware!

You DIDN'T ask for a insured shipment, you even ask to lower the total. With more than 60 transactions here and a lot on the french LeBonCoin, you DID know that 5€ with Mondial Relay is the standard shipping, you even propose it on your LeBonCoin's Classifieds ! You're liar and horrible person to deal with when things got bluried at some point. You hide yourself behind Paypal's rules. I DID propose you what would be the most equitable : share the loss, but YOU start acting / speaking with condescension before threatening me in some sort. I'm a nice fellow but I hate it when I fall on insulting and threatening people, so I start to wonder why should I go your way, I choose to let Paypal manage the thing. After that you send me another email with "shitbag". Ho and not to mention you blocked me here -probably you was thinking I could not find the conversation- , and when I sent you an email you said "it's a mistake".

I've got scamed with such conditions : I could not be refund by the shipping company and paypal will refund the buyer, it looks like a scam, because it is : if things don't go well with the shipment, you're fooled, like I did.
When refunded, if you write the guy to calm things down, you'll receive even more insults back.

I'm really surprised here, I've had a lot of transactions with this seller and it has always gone very, very well: very well packaged package, delivered very quickly, impeccable communication and prices always very low. When I read your exchange here, I understand very well how you behaved with him. You don't want to share the losses when you knew the package was uninsured, if you asked to pull the price down. And insults and threats never solve anything. For my part, I really recommend this seller/buyer (-adr-)
I didn´t know anything about the fact he doesn´t insure the parcel. Yes I asked to a lower price than the initial one, and he was ok and he never said it implied a transfer of responsability or whatever he meant.
