Just recieved a 2hp Pluck,thinking about getting the 2hp TM too

if you are located in EU,i got a TipTop Audio Mantis case for sale im not gonna use after i got a bigger travel case.

a effects module that get reccommended alot here is the FX Aid XL(gonna get that one myself later this year)

Where would you place every module?

i have used theabove technique for many years in the DAW.

have ordered the A-160-2

next week i will get a D.o.m.i.x.x mixer module from Bloodcells audio
and i finally can start to use my Eurorack system

I've just tried on my Doepfer A-160-2 and it works. Great tip by way, I hadn't thought of that.
Plus having the option to change between triggers and gates you get two different timbres to choose from.

im looking at modules to get a Fat Deep Sub in my Eurorack System

Got recommended getting something like this

and then run my oscillator thru it,and then mix the square wave suboctave with my main osc.

will that work?

yeah - that's the one I thought - not on modulargrid yet

between the hermod and the mixer you need voices - vco/vcf/vcas/modulation/envelope generators etc etc and probably some sub mixers for both audio and control voltages - and after the mixer you need an audio interface to connect to your computer

ahh yes yes,that was what i thought,im on vacation atm wont have time to mess with it untill tommorow,so thought i would ask :)

it's probably not much more difficult than plugging the cable in and a tiny bit if menu diving to get a midi keybooard to cnnect too the hermod etc - I think the manual was decent when I was looking - so that's probably a good place to start

can you post a link to the mixer? what is the full chain you are intending on using?

Im building my Ambient eurorack setup,have a Squarp Hermod,waiting for a few modules to arrive so havent used it,does anyone here use the Hermod,Especially interested in hearing from People making Eurorack Ambient/Dark Ambient

how easy is it to connect a midi keyboard to the hermod to play the modular?(if thats even possible)

also im getting a Bloodcells audio D.O.M.I.X.X mixer module,can i connect the hermod to this?i want to multitrack record the modular into my daw through the Mixer module.

Most of the modules I like are already named, especially in the first reaction to your question.
(Sound Machines LS1 light strip, DivKid Mutes and the Acid Rain Navigator).

But 1 great solution I like very much is not named yet:
the Lapsus Os from Noise Engineering.
I really like that module, I have 2 of them in my current system.

got the batumi and love it,havent looked into firmware,how do you apply it to the batumi?

Batumi has a USB port. Download the zip file and follow the instructions in the readme file.

Batumi has an alternate expert firmware that add a bank of random waveforms.

well you didn't mention that you had another audio interface - sorry mixer - why not just go straight into that then and bypass the mixer and the es9?

if it's audio it doesn't need to be dc-coupled - that is just for cv

ahh yes my bad:)well the thing is my case is a 13U travel case,only use the studiolive in the studio,and like eeryone im hoping to one day be able to play live again.

so it is possible to use this mixer with my presonus,so i dont have to get the es-9?if yes i just need some cable to connect theeurorack mixer to the presonus

I'd read the spec again - it's a mixer with outputs for each channel - which is really handy - especially as they are post fader

it could be used to feed nicely into an es9, but not an audio interface

havent heard about this mixer before,have anyone used it?

was thinking about getting a ES-9 to be able to record into my DAW,but seems this could beused for the same purpose

I can't recommend the Tete/Tetra combo enough - I have two pairs in my system (still waiting on the second Tete to arrive after three months of waiting haha). It has so many modes that I could even see a third, so that I can have all three modes running at once. That said, the Combo mode is where it's at because you can essentially have 4 channels of whatever you want (i.e. one channel can be an LFO, another can be a sequencer, another a fader, etc.). Anyway yes, if you're looking for tactile control, look no further.

FYI like all befaco modules - the joystick is available in DIY too - I built mine from a kit - it was reasonably straightforward iirc - a little bit of wiring for the joystick was the most difficult part

regarding joysticks,which are worth checking out?it needs to fit in my portable case,so think the doepfer is a no go

is there a decent joystick that dont cost like 2-300 euro?

Yes the Pad-Tete Combo is quite powerful. I can't think of any setup where they are not useful in some way.

Looking at your rack, i'm not sure about the ES-9. That might be a bit overpowered, depending on your plans. Maybe you have a certain use-case. If that's not the case, you can save yourself some major bucks and invest in more suitable gear. A good replacement for the Batumi could be the aformentioned Acid rain - Maestro. You loose some hp but you get a lot of hands on control and functionality for it. It comes with a higher price tag though.

one thing i wanna do with my modular,is Making a Controller row/skiff with modules for controlling and live interaction with my modular.

one thing i know i want is a joystick module for my drones
im interested in hearing what other modules people are using for this sort of thing?

the next step i want to do is multitrack record my Eurorack system into Reaper,for further processing finaliing,would getting a Expert Sleepers ES-9 usb interface be the easiest way?

One other to consider: Folktek's Quiet. This should also be a VCA-based mute judging from the operation. Plus, the Quiet functions on ANY signal from audio to clocking and everything in between.

I don't think so. NE's description states that the Muta Jovis is primarily meant for gates and triggers, but will mute audio too. That leads me to believe that it will not sound as natural as the DivKid.

does the muta jovis have vactrols like the mutes from divkid,to prevent clicks when using the switches?
