just tried to connect the BSP to plaits as descibed above,but i only get real short sounds comin out of Plaits,what im after some some longer Drone sounds,any tips?

then you won't get a continuous sound from plaits - leave this unplugged and plaits will drone (depending on the mode) just like any other oscillator

turn knob (or use input - use attenuator as needed) to change value at output...

imagine the attenuverter for output 1 is set to about 9 o'clock - roughly -0.5

as you move the knob from fully counter clockwise (0) to fully clockwise (1), the value of output 1 will move from 0-> -0.5

I have the A1 synthesis matrix mixer.but need to figure out good ways to use it

I also have the FSS Makrow.but havent used it yet.as im abit baffled how i should patch it up.and there really isent any videos about it.

I decideret to sell my hermod and the CV sequencer. Got a plaits.and a sequential switch adder to my system.for sub i have a sub101 duo coming from analog lab swiss.

So for now i use my korg sq1 with plaits.

One Thing im abit unsure about and havent wrapped my head around (need to watch some tutorials)is maybe getting rid of gran terminal and the expander.think its a Hard module to figure out.and maybe get something like erbeverb. Desmodus fx aid xl instead.
Also need to figure out a good way to use PNW in my system.

It's worth mentioning for posterity and because we here love chaos, that the Batumi echoey firmware implements what is called "Verhulst's logistics map" . Since Batumi vanilla is just regular LFO this may not be obvious but it is a pretty useful implemtation such that you can have the four generators running independent or phased versions of the chaos and will have corresponding frequency synced sin and square waves not to mention self modulating possibilities for frequency modulation of each generator. 😎

I think one possibility not discussed is mixing.

Think of an oscillator with 4 simultaneous waveform outputs. Connect all four audio outputs into a VCA module that can mix like an Intellijel quad VCA. Then connect four modulation sources into the CV inputs... maybe a quad LFO like the Xaoc Batumi and set the Batumi to really slow rates. Of course you don't have to mix just one oscillator... or you could mix between effects or even mix CV sources instead of audio.

If you combine mixing with filter modulation, etc. the sky is the limit.

I use mine to either switch modulation outputs between different modulation inputs or vice versa

why do you think you need a buffered mult? how are you sequencing - I don't see a sequencer in the rack... and you already have links... you could probably do fine with a passive mult... there's no need for exact when multing modulation or audio - a tiny bit of voltage droop will be unnoticeable

I usually see sequential switches being recommended for systems with multiple sequencers.i record straight into reaper through the domixx.

Will order the doepfer today also gonna order a doepfer buffered mult

Sounds like something's misconnected. Did you verify the polarity on all of the ribbon cables? Given that this was a result of a rearrangement, that would be my guess.

it was my Doepfer clock divider ribbon cable that was connected wrong

The middle light is the 5v power state. Some distribution board dont includes a 5V supply. Verify the specs of your board.

All 3 lights was working before i rearrangged my case

How do I verify the specielt on my board?

My distribution board also has 3 lights and the middle light dont light up as much as the 2 others.
Is it the psu that got damaged?and can I do something to fix it or do I need to buy a new one?

i tried using it with usb from hermod to the computer
then choose hermod in the channel in ableton,insert midiclip,but when i play the sound in ableton is kind of high pitched and doesentsound the same as when just using the modular in it self

i need some help

i cant figure out how i setup my squarp hermod to work with ableton,ive tried watching youtube,and going through the manual

can someone give me a step by step direction please?

yeah - that's the one I thought - not on modulargrid yet

between the hermod and the mixer you need voices - vco/vcf/vcas/modulation/envelope generators etc etc and probably some sub mixers for both audio and control voltages - and after the mixer you need an audio interface to connect to your computer

The Eurorack 1U landscape is developing at the moment. Convenient for travel. I'm starting to think about a standalone setup only based on this format.

Endorphin.es is coming. Mosaic, and Intellijel of course, have a great offer. Etc. And Xodes (XO) has created a series of format changers. They allow using 1U modules in a 3U case by creating 1U rows. Perfect for combining with some Picos or 2hps, for example.

I was just messing around with Makrow again and was having fun running a few of its outputs to the exp fm inputs of a few oscillators to quickly switch from unison to chords. It sounded really cool after I got it dialed in.

-- some of the Native Instrument lineup like ScannerXT, Form and others
-- a lot of the GlitchMachines lineup particularly for "tech" sounding textures
-- Spitfire Audio BT Phobos
-- or any sufficiently wierd sample set (like Zero-G Ian Boddy Odyssey) run through granular and other mangling

There's SO much in software, it's really worth a good look. And so much on holiday sale presently. Some modest $s would get you a bunch of the relevant software.

AND assuming you have a DAW to modular setup (like Expert Sleepers unit) you could pass your DAW texture audio into modular for additional mangling

I would like to be able to do it in the eurorack.what i do now is load my own samples inro the 2hp play module.

A module that looks awesome for textures is the addac 112

Have byen thinking if it would make sense to selv grand terminal and the expander.and get plaits.beads and a desmodus instead.

Would that make sense in this build?

It’s probably not the most creative use, but I love adjusting VCA decay, filter cutoff, and reverb or delay feedback simultaneously. I tend to patch that up pretty often.

I have heard that alt of People have a Hard time getting something usefull out of the doepfer 106-1.but it sounds interesting bring able to manipulate it with revers and delays.

Also thinking about adding a plads and beads Combo
