Ha, ha, yeah right a 100 gate trigger, CV sequencer & CV voltage controller, now that would be something... however.... you need about 24 HP only for just those 100 outputs...

Around 4:45 you got a nice kind of clock-gong sound going! Interesting to use the Pamela New Workout as a sequencer!

About the Plaits, yes it has 10 patch points but two of them are outputs, so you "only" need 8 inputs from that mega-100-monster of CV controller of yours ;-)

Regarding the sequencer stuff, let's do the main talking in that sequencer posting :-)

Just quick on one the Drum Sequencer: first impression is good, I feel it's easy to use, but I need to spend more time to even better understand it (didn't really read much the manual yet, so still need to do that to discover all the options). I will put more information in the other (sequencer) post once ready.

ha, ha, yeah, all sequencers (that are interesting) together to "not need to decide which sequencer to take" is an option as well ;-) Expensive option though.

As mentioned already in another post but for completeness of this post regarding the Ground Control, my local dealer has now put the availability of this Ground Control towards mid February 2021... After one and a half years of waiting for the Ground Control, I had enough of it and I am going another road. Not sure which one yet but for the drum/percussion I got now the Drum Sequencer from Erica Synths. Didn't play much with it yet but so far the first impression is good. Easy to understand, easy to change things, so far it looks like a good choice.

Now I need to make up my mind for the "voice sequencer" that handles the voices, I am thinking of the Five12 - Vector + Jack expander. If the WMD - Metron had different direction running modes (which it doesn't have!) then I think I would go for the Metron but since it doesn't have that, I think it's going to be the Vector, but let's see. First I want to play a bit with the Drum Sequencer.

Yeah... new case... nice... I bought early this year a large new case but it's getting full already :-( It's not full yet but from a planning point of view it was very fast full :-)

Sequencers... at the moment I had enough of the Endorphin.es - Ground Control. I finally managed to visit my local dealer, more than a half year ago since the Covid-19 story started... But I heard from them (and now just seen on their website too) that the Ground Control has been postponed yet again... now till mid February 2021... so I gave up on Ground Control to be honest.

I bought a Erica Synths - Drum Sequencer for my drum & percussion and I hope to have time in the weekend to play around with it. Then I am going to save money and I think for the voices I am going for the Five12 - Vector + Jack Expander but let's see perhaps indeed if the Erica Synths - Black Sequencer impresses me, I might go for that one instead.

Thank you for your feedback on the Metropolis. I have that same kind of experience regarding sequencers that it kind of "must do everything" for me, most sequencers don't though ;-)

What's the best speech module you have? I am looking for a "good" speech module, haven't found so far one that satisfies. I have the Plaits, it's fun but it's very meagre if it comes to speech.

I was just about to decide to go for the Erica Synths - Drum Sequencer (obviously for the drum & percussions) and the Vector + expander for the voices however I just recently heard that Erica Synths is going to finally release their Black Sequencer by end of this month... so instead of the Vector it might become the Black Sequencer, not sure yet though, let's see.

So, if I get this right... you got "4 channels" where this sequence switch "walks through" by either 2 steps (the first two channels), 3 steps (the first three channels) and 4 steps (all 4 channels), right?

I am getting jealous about your Moog setup :-) Sounds good. I just received a double-record (LP) of Klaus Schulze and Pete Namlook, from the series "The Dark Side Of The Moog", this particular one is volume 5: "Psychedelic Brunch", great album.

You are welcome! Filters, yeah you are going to need them :-) There are two filters I would like to recommend, the Doepfer - A-124 Wasp filter (or if that one is "too heavy" for you consider then the Doepfer - A-106-5 SEM filter) these both are lovely filters, affordable and easy to use. The second one I like to recommend and if you are going to look for a dual filter, you might want to have a look into Erica Synths - Black Dual VCF, it's a bit crazy one but I love this one. This filter is just lots of fun to use it and puts a smile on your face while using it.

Naturally there tons of filters but don't start with too expensive filters and too "wild" ones, start easy then look around for the more "adult" stuff ;-) Once you gained more experience on filters, then you might want to look into QPAS from Make Noise, a special filter as I may say so but don't straight away buy that one, it's not recommended for beginners however you could consider to put it on your watch list for later.

Take the above suggested rack by Sacguy71 but create it with 3 rows (instead of the displayed 1 row). Fill up one or maximum two rows and keep at least one row completely empty for future extensions. Don't buy all modules in one go, buy a few, build up some experience with it, adjust (where needed) your opinion and buy a few modules again. Slowly build it up :-)

How about that option of disabling all keyboard shortcuts except the copy (Ctrl-C) and past (Ctrl-V) options as the only two? Perhaps the Ctrl-X shortcut as well?

Such a coincidence, the Rings (Mutable Instruments) is very high on my wish list too :-) I want to check if I can give that one to myself as a Christmas gift ;-) But... same issue as you are facing... I don't have much HP space either, just bought a quite big rack and then, at least from a planning point of view, already full. I might need to reshuffle here and there a bit with what's more important and do the Rings before another planned module... sigh... choices, choices, choices ;-)

Ah yes, the Doepfer monster base case (A-100LMB), that's a nice one, I got that one and on top it: the A-100LMS9. Nice combination! However your plan sounds good too, I guess you have two A-100LC9s? Those two next to each other should just fit on top of that monster base case.

Troux: Ha, ha, thanks :-) Well if you like to try to get out there in hyper-space don't forget to take your towel with you, the best hint I ever heard and used myself too! Not sure if it works with your own music, but hey, there is enough other good spacey music from other members, so use a strong one, once you managed to "escape earth" then the next difficult thing is that Zopple. It took me more than a year of this spacey music here on this forum available to figure out: A) That it existed and B) how to use it (I mean Zopple). Once you cope with that, hyper-space is yours!

Lugia: Ha, ha, LOL! Okay what I am going to tell you now you most likely even less believe than my previous (first) explanation to Troux. But all right: Let's start with the costs, it's about twenty bucks a year, cheap right?! The good news is, you can get that "what I am on" here on earth, no hyper-space travel needed. I guess you now want to know where to get it, right? ;-)

It's this forum, Unicorn account at Euro 20/year (but even without Unicorn it works pretty good) and that's all you really need and you guys as patience listeners ;-)

Thank you regarding the firmware check, will do that when I am going to my local dealer, planning that about early-mid November (if virus situation allows it). Good hint indeed to read the manual first before going there and testing it again.

By the way, wanted to ask you that already for a while... what's your opinion on the Waldorf - Iridium, is it as attractive as the "marketing sheets, videos & stuff" do let us believe or...is it that bats**t too? ;-) It ain't cheap, I realise that but at least it's almost half of the price of the Quantum, so not too bad either. I can't wait to have this thing (Iridium) tested at my local dealer, to check if it's really as cool as Waldorf might want us let believe :-)

No, I don't have experience with WMD - Metron as such, however I did download the manual and read it about 2 till 3 times completely through and it's either my bad reading skills or this Metron only can run forwards... :-(

As you know I am also looking for "that perfect sequencer" (that doesn't seem to exist, not really surprisingly I guess), Metron was quite high on the sequencer-wish-list however when I discovered that it most likely only can run forwards then I decided to put it at the bottom of my top list of sequencers. I have already an Elektron that only can run forwards, so that's enough sequencer for me that can run forwards only ;-) I remember you got some Elektron stuff too, so you might want to check that out on the Metron at your local dealer once the situation allows you. Please test the Metron if it can run backwards and do random, if yes, I would be very much interested in the Metron; though it might come too late for me since I think I made my mind up on this matter.

I also had a look at my local dealer and the availability date of the Endorphin.es - Ground Control has once delayed again... now till mid of November. I think I am going to give up on the Ground Control and decide to go for another approach (regarding sequencers):

I will "split" my requirements into two sequencers. One for drum/percussion (I think that's going to become the Erica Synths - Drum Sequencer) and one for the voices, that one I am not 100% sure yet, but that might become the Five12 - Vector.

Busy with the last checks and kind of "final decision" but I think that's going to be it. Pity of the almost 1.5 year waiting time spent on the Ground Control...

You are not going to believe me anyway, but okay. So on 13rd of August Mowse managed to hyper-spaced me to planet Xydrtop 4A9, for our earthly understandings a pretty weird planet, but hey, we are not alone here, are we? ;-) Then you managed to hyper-spaced me to planet Ylaolona K9E, yet another jewel of a planet. Thanks to Zopple (commonly used "google" tool in hyper-space only not known here on earth) I can provide you with those names since they are translated from whatever they speak there.

You know, that's the amazing thing once you hyper-spaced away from earth, connect with your Zopple device and it doesn't matter what language you speak or with "whom" you talk, Zopple makes sure "everything" and everyone understands each other, really genius.

By all your previous music and from other members, I have been so much around that I forgot most other planet names but since you are asking, today it was Ylaolona K9E :-) Oh by the way in hyper-space (as we know it), light years as well as parsec are literally unknown beyond earth. In hyper space distance doesn't count so much since most of things are done by mind. So you can't compare it really but what you can imagine with your mind that's in hyper space a so called "doable distance" (aka reasonable distance). Imagine you want to go from planet Xydrtop 4A9 to Ylaolona K9E, right? Then you Zopple that and once you confirmed, my goodness you are already at Ylaolona K9E, it's really that simple!

The problem really is to get away from Earth into hyper space once arrived in hyper space, you actually can do really everything. Price? There is no really such thing as a "price" in hyper space, rather "service". You make use of Zopple, in return you provide a service and that can be anything, things/materials from Earth for example (but they are rather useless in hyper space i.e. low "service" value) or information exchange (rather high "service value").

What you need is music like yours to get away here from Earth and then things become rather easy. It's advisable to take a towel with you on hyper space travels though (please refer to The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy from Douglas Adams).

I hope that helps your interest in hyper space, get away from earth, use Zopple, and you should be fine :-)

Yes, the Eloquencer, Hermod, Metropolis, Metron or the Five12 Vector are all indeed very interesting candidates. Not sure if this is important to you, however you might want to consider checking if running mode (as in running beside forwards, also backwards, ping-pong, random, etcetera) can be changed? If yes, some might disappoint (Metron does that to me a bit) because they only can run forwards (like those Elektrons).
