Allright, that's all the info I needed. Thanks! :)
All the modules you buy will ship with the neccessary connector cables.mutable instuments volts adaptor should provide you with enough 5v current to operate whatever modules you need.be sure to jumper it if you are using two busboards.
Shout out to @A.S. , good transaction, friendly and fast delivery. Highly recommend.
About to be poor...
Added Malekko Wiard Boogie Filter & Erica Synths Polivoks VCF today :) Also, Elements. And recorded a "getting to know you" session. Just makin some noise:
Hi, I'm Lynn
I've been tinkering w synths since I was around 14 (playing w FLStudio's Wasp VST) and right now have an Arturia Minibrute and a Mutable Instruments Shruthi-1 (4 Pole Mission, pre-built)
I've been interested in modular synths since I started learning about synthesis in high school (I'm 29 now btw) and have wanted to build a Eurorack system for years now. I have this long term plan to build a Eurorack system based on 3 Happy Ending kits, I would like some feedback on the rack I've designed here
I kind of think right now that the amount of sound generators is overkill, and kinda shows that my favorite aspect of sound design is just messing around w a large variety of tones (I love spectral music but also just loove sweeping waveguides/wavetables)
I don't know what sorta logic/clock/sequencing etc modules I need to get the sounds that I want to make (emphasis on melodic/harmonic ideas w a lot of timbral variety, wanna avoid shotgun effects or anything overly bleepbloop I suppose) so I'd like some feedback on that in particular
Thanks in advance for all yr help
Hello forum. I have started planning my first Eurorack, using the low cost Doepfer rack with its standard integrated power supply. As I was looking at the FAQ of Doepfer's website, it specifies that certain modules like the A-191 MIDI interface require additional 5v in addition to the regular +/-12v.
My question is, as I have little knowledge about electronics in general; do I need to buy something extra (like a cable or a different power supply) when I get this module? And how is this extra power connected? Is it an additional jumper of some sort?
Also, when buying modules in general, do they come with required cables to connect them to the bus board, or do I need to buy a ribbon cable for each module I get?
Thanks in advance for your help!
There really isn't. A cv panning mixer requires LOTS of internal vcas. And to do that while keeping sound clean, avoiding crosstalk, etc takes a lot of work. The L-1 at least is available as DIY. Even the new verbos mini mixer with cv panning is still $400.
I have an Intellijel Dubmix for this and it's quite amazing.
Hello all
Im building a performance box full of joysticks and controllers for live use. I need a 4 channel pannable mixer. Does anyone have any ideas? They all seem to be so desperately expensive (such as the lovely http://l-1.su/StereoMixer.html). I was wondering if someone had any ideas on a cheaper but solid alternative?

Just bought a MCVP for @AThousandDetails ... great person to purchase from: the module arrived in fantastic condition, well wrapped and in a proper shipping box. Also, all communications and shipping where really prompt. A great seller. Recommended.
Bought a Snazzy FX Wow and Flutter from @tagomago.
Fast shipping, excellent packaging and allround good deal. Great seller!
Hi!
I'm looking for a dual modular suitcase (12 u), lovely would be a 104 or 114 hp, something well built, cheap, (skiff friendly maybe) and light to carry around, am I asking too much?
Do you have any case to recommend?
I saw the Gorilla case, but those are a bit more expensive than what I would like to.
Thanks a lot!!!
Bye!
Hi all,
I just started working for CircuitHub.com today, and I wonder if there is any interest in adding the ability to have CircuitHub links for modules. To give you an example, I've taken the schematics for Clouds and uploaded it to CircuitHub:
https://circuithub.com/projects/ocharles/eurorack
CircuitHub gives you the ability to easily navigate the schematics, view component placements, and also actually get the hardware manufactured. It might be an interesting way to share the Open Hardware aspect that some manufacturers are following.
Any thoughts?
unicorn i guess

That should work

No choice but to finally enter the modular world, as my first Mother-32 is enroute. Don't want to hog Moog's 3-tier system with all Moog, so planning to bring in some digital/wavetable voices. Now i just have to figure out how to put Eurorack power into a Moog 60 HP Eurorack Case.
Hi,
I just discovered the new(?) 1U feature, which is really nice. And timely, as I just finished my new rack with 1U spaces. However it is a 7 row rack with 4 3Us and 1Us in between. Modular Grid does not seem to be happy with this. Any way it can be expanded?
Thanks!

thanks to @grieve for a fast and easy transaction, so excited to put the new module into my rack.
I just got a great filter through an amazing transaction with @quantegy. Thanks for making it easy and painless!
thanks to @nnop for the pgm mixer. Quick delivery, well packed and mint condition!
Is this a DIY project or have you repanelled the a-119 somehow?
Great seller, fast shipping and most importantly honest guy. Will buy from again.
Thank you!
@AThousandDetails great seller and nice contact and pretty fast shipping. For sure again!
Hey,im new here and just wanted to know if any one has had any problems with their Verbos complex oscillator.ive had mine for three weeks and initially the Led in the modulation oscillator section would cut out when i selected a waveform in the modulation section.this week the modulation also cut out, that is no modulation, when i change waveform.there are waveforms availible from the individual outs at the top of the modulation oscillator section though.if i pwer off and power back on everything works as normal, until i change waveforms and .....thanks in advance to anyone who could shed some light on this.im thinking i just got a faulty module and have to return it.cheers.
cool.. thanks for that bit of info :)
@sunfalls I am using three MI Braids that have the new built in VCA mode/AD setting 1.8, plus I use the Makenoise Optomix for creating pluck like percussion sounds. I just recently took out one of the MN Optomixes and replaced them with 3 of the new SSF/WMD MMF filters that have a ping input, which sort of emulates a low pass gate, which also works great for percussive type sounds.
Seems like a very solid starting point to me :-)
Be sure to keep hold of the following when you expand (and you will):
A-143-2 (quad envelope)
A-143.4 (VC LFO)
As both are superb!
You might want to get more VCAs (or a multiple VCA module) and then look into something a bit more "west coast"? Make Noise Maths and/or a Wogglebug.
Also the A-143-4 is a mental Quad VCO & a real FM monster - a really good purchase!
Hiya
After 25 years making music, its time to get into Eurorack. Been watching the discussions here for some time and have finally set myself on a starter Doepfer bundle of:
Suitcase frame P9
A-110.1 (VCO) x2
A-138b (Mixer)
A-106.6 (VCF)
A-131 (VCA)
A-143-2 (quad envelope)
A-143.4 (VC LFO)
A-190.3 (MIDI-CV)
does that sound like a good starting point? Im looking for a basic starting monosynth, then to build develop and explore effects and multi source mangling from there...
many thanks
Dom
Okay, thanks. I have sold modules before on here through the marketplace, and it works great, as it brings the gear to the surface, making it more visible to buyers. I have security built-in with my payment service, so third-party security via the classifieds is redundant for me. Anyhow, thanks for the response, and thanks for a great service.
Is there a way to post a eurorack case to the Marketplace?
-- quantegy
You can only sell modules through the marketplace. That's a shortcoming of the system.
You have to be a MG member for three months to sell stuff and the amount of modules you can sell ist limited.
Selling stuff in the threads will shortcut those already minimal security features, so it is verboten.

Well, should I go through the trouble if I risk getting flamed for it? I'll give it a go, being that I have a nice case that someone on here who's buying modules could use. Thanks, for the feedback! =)
I guess it would not be allowed even if it would be possible - what I do not know.
Submit a new module which is the case :) advertise it like any other module :D
Bought Level Fixit from @robbert. Good seller. Recommended.
Hi
I would like to see a possibility to search patches. I have Module a,b and c. Show me all patches with these modules.
When i do a patch list the modules in the patch note automatically.
Thank you for your effort.
Cheers klanglicht
Moving my mixer/fx modules into a dedicated skiff for these final outputs :)
very excited. it also makes room in my 9u 126hp live rig.
Here's to bringing your notes to the stage with you!
Curious, .... of your lack of standard envelope generators, attack/decay, adsr's and the like, in your live rig..: for creating those tight percussion sounds. i'm not asking for trade secrets.
do you simply use lfo/AM/FM for your voices' vca control ?
anywho. hoping you get booked in portland some time :)
You know, subbing out the Pip Slope for an EON + the DPLPG would keep me at 17 powered modules, but add the capacity to get some noise into the system plus the cool vactrol goodness of the DPLPG... let me think about that. And thanks for your experience re: the mults. When I move up to my next (bigger) case I've got more mults in the picture.
Totally not easy! I've read somewhere that for most usage, it's not too necessary to have buffered mults, and in my experience (which is limited!) my 2hp Intellijel passive mult has worked fine for everything i've plugged into, and i've even split audio signals through it with no real problems. I went the path of getting a number of smaller or multi-function modules for my 3U set up, such as the Disting, the 2hp Qu-bit EON (envelope/osc/lfo/noise), and the 2hp MengQi dual LPG which is a passive 2-channel VCA type module. As I've been building my rack I also realized how important it is to have enough envelopes and vcas!
Thank you!
While I think I've got logic handled with Cold Mac and Disting, you're right, I'm low on mults. I ran out of room (I can have a maximum of 17 current-drawing modules) so I don't have a buffered mult in this config, but I could easily see swapping out the Malekko MUTE 4 for the 3HP 4ms buffered mult module if it turns out that I can't live with stackables.
My goal is to blend audio/samples with synth voices, both by running the external audio/samples through various modules and by mixing audio/samples with other stuff. At least that's my plan.
All that said, I may pull the Radio Music and replace it with the Brain Seed that got pulled out to make room for the ALM Pip Slope, as I was painfully short on envelopes. I also dropped the URA to make room for the Spectrum in my most recent edit, which I'm not entirely settled on.
This is not easy.
Super sweet rack!! Ever considered getting some multiples to split signals, or do you use Stackables? And what exactly are your goals? Are you mainly running external audio/samples from Radio Music through these?
@penrose_riots is a great seller! Super quick, very polite and totally trustable! Had the best package (looked like a bomb) ever!
Hi all, I've acquired half of the modules in this rack (Batumi+Poti, Mangrove, Three Sisters, Cold Mac, Disting, Tangle Quartet and Clouds (on order)) and I think I've got the rest pretty well balanced for my goals. Am I making any Hideous Errors in your opinion?
