The Mother 32 has a built-in sequencer. Any particular reason why you want a second sequencer?

Perfect, power wise would you go for this or a 4MS? And the power is way more then good enough as its just a small rack I guess?

Have you got an external mixer? Otherwise you might consider including an audio (logarithmic) mixer module.

Got a mother 32 a while back but looking to add a little custom eurorack. Don't know much of what I am doing and am looking for help regarding power and audio output? Help is appreciated!

the edits spurred the rant about had this field set already - ie Doepfer stuff. A quick search yields that 24 or 37 with the word discontinued in it, have this field set.

I agree it's a community effort. That's the point, really. There is quite a bit of effort to be had without people added to the the pile. (duplicate entries, incomplete entries, person modules not marked as private, etc).

I personally updated the field on 250+ modules. There are some that are manufacturer locked but generally the major manufacturer stuff is marked properly.

Hello! Thanks for taking a look at my rack!

As the title says, I'm trying to build a rack to create warm, luscious, droning soundscapes.

Lots of effects, layering and textures are needed and a little bit of sampling capability.

I'm very, very new to modular/euro rack so I'm not entirely sure what I need and I don't know if any of this is redundant.

This is an ideal or dream rig but I certainly don't plan on getting it all at once, just a base to start from and figure out what's needed, what isn't needed, if there are crucial modules to make it work... or even if it will work at all!

Anyways, any help on building a rack as I previously described would be wonderful!

Problem is that most modules don't have that flag attached and are listed under the Property unassigned label.
We should make some kind of community data sanitation event to complete the data at one point...

There is a field "Product Lifecycle" that allows you to mark a module as discontinued. Use that. You can even filter on it. It was created for that exact purpose.

Please give me your opinion about the Raxperimental, a set-up for experimental/acousmatic music sound design.

Ne need to synthesize basslines or killer solo sequences here, but a configuration as open as possible. The openness is also translated into one analog sensor input module, an envelope follower and a MIDI module. There's no module to get audio from a computer because we have a sound card with DC coupled outputs.

Anything obvious missing?

My brilliant 4ms Spectral Multiband Resonator just arrived from @Infiltrator - lovely guy to deal with, lightening postage, all tracked. Trade with complete peace of mind. :-)

Occurs to me:
- you have no PSU/converter module
- there is no mixer, have an external?
- there are no envelopes/vca s so everything will drone

Hi, you now have one case 12U x 84 HP ? And want to expand to 18U x 84 HP?
Add another 6U x 84 case to put on top with appropriate PSU.

I'm speculating, as I have yet to build a Eurorack.

I'm very new in modular and i am planning to buy a new setup.
i already own a few things.

I have:
System 1m
Korg ESX
Roland aira tb-3
APC-mini for ableton
Make Noise 0-coast
and a few others that i will sell

In my new setup i will still use the Korg ESX ( i love the sound and its my first sequencer/synthesizer.
I also will still use Ableton because it gives me really fast variation in sounds. i use it for some drums samples and single shot samples. The Roland aira tb-3 i dont know if i will still use it but in the beginning i will. The Make Noise 0-coast can i build in the new rack as a module.

I am a (singer-) songwriter and I am recording my songs in my own little home recording studio. After checking out multiple vids on the Moog Mother 32 I am planing to purchase one for my next recording project. Heard some great patches that could be the basis for a song, also some great sound effects that could perfectly match with my recordings. So my setup will have to be some sort of a swiss army knife, not so much of just one purpose (like focussing on noise etc.). I am very fascinated by the modular world. So most probably I will continue my journey, once I have started. But that will be another project.
For now I am looking for modules that will be a good combination for the mother. So far I have understood that another VCO and VCF, also some effect units should be helpfull. The modules shouldn´t be too difficult to understand or too complex, as I am only just beginning.
Also I will buy the modules step by step, due to financial limitations. This very tiny rack should match with the size of the mother, so that I can put it in the moog tier.
This is what I have been thinking about until now. Are there alternatives? Suggestions for more modules (there is some space left Jens ):

Rollback: Duplicate out of bounds modules

If you duplicate a rack, all modules outside of the rack (angry cat mode) will be duplicated, too.

I got this at the same time I got a Sputnik 6-channel mixer. The 2hp Mix has superior channel bleed. I sometimes wish they would do 4-8hp because their engineering is on point.

I would watch a lot of videos on Rene first. Especially the ones by Make Noise and James Ciglar.

It's not exactly for everyone but once I got into it I've really enjoyed it. It's a little complex, at least for me, but only because it's different. But I have other ones: the BSP and the Knit Rider by Bastl. Im seriously looking at the Metropolis now by Intelijel.

Yeah, check out the racks I have - a 12u and a skiff . I am building a second 9U in a few weeks, and then hopefully not expanding any more for a while. But then I say that all the time. ;-)

Hello people, Im new here and new to this modular world of wonders. I have now designed a system here and was wondering if you could help me by telling me if theres anything important missing and if theres some better options for what I already have selected. This would be the first system I could slowly buildup and make changes as I go along, but I just need something to start with, a plan. My main use would be to make ambient and noise stuff for start.
