+5 volt for certain modules?

Hello forum. I have started planning my first Eurorack, using the low cost Doepfer rack with its standard integrated power supply. As I was looking at the FAQ of Doepfer's website, it specifies that certain modules like the A-191 MIDI interface require additional 5v in addition to the regular +/-12v.

My question is, as I have little knowledge about electronics in general; do I need to buy something extra (like a cable or a different power supply) when I get this module? And how is this extra power connected? Is it an additional jumper of some sort?

Also, when buying modules in general, do they come with required cables to connect them to the bus board, or do I need to buy a ribbon cable for each module I get?

All the modules you buy will ship with the neccessary connector cables.mutable instuments volts adaptor should provide you with enough 5v current to operate whatever modules you need.be sure to jumper it if you are using two busboards.
