VCO>VCF>VCA or VCO>VCA>VCF?
Is there a way around that this should be or classically be wired?
I'm using both approaches to be honest, some filters seem to behave better in different configurations, for a filter that is high self-resonating I'll usually go VCO>VCF>VCA so the Envelope can completely cut off the sine resonation of the filter.. And one of my other filters seems to prefer being fed from the VCA and would distort if fed direct from the VCO.
Cheers :)

How do you pronounce 'Digital'? Obvs everyone pronounces it Diggy-Tal cos we're all a bunch of numpties?! eh!
So why does everyone on 'the Internet Tubes' pronounce Digitakt wrong?

Fact is, we aren't gatekeeping people out of modular here...but we ARE trying to gatekeep people from making some really awful decisions and winding up with a generally-unplayable instrument.
-- Lugia
Here we go, this feels like starting an argument ;-)
I realise you always put the time in to write a heck of a lot, I read your first response and those of others and I just think, "way to go, disheartening another person who is interested in modular", then the response from the post originator was clearly disheartened.
I'm not a fan of this, I dare say some of the words written to me on my first post on this forum made me think WTF and Who the F***! Hardly the hi and welcome to the forum, be careful what you spend, DON'T DO MODULAR!
I feel there are more beneficial manners of helping, Blunt Critique is your best mate telling you that that thing you built is sh!t, you laugh and buy them another Pint, not a person they have never met on a forum they have just joined because of an interest in making music / sound or simply something for pure enjoyment.
So in general, I do feel there is a lot of helpful words within the responses on this forum but folks need to chill a bit.
And I'm totally fine with it if you don't think I should be pointing this out ;-)

This was mainly.... MakeNoise STO via DannySound Timbre into MakeNoise Mimeophon with a shed load of modulation and modulating the modulation..... then some more acid techno like bits.

But don't let that put your off experimenting ;-)
I'm pretty sure I attacked starting modular from an "unpopular" angle, that has not stopped me having a load of fun in the process.
Now I find myself at the point where my Modular Rack is more about swapping one module out for another, sure I have a wish list of modules, but its relatively cash neutral at the moment as I sell things I find I don't need.
VCV confused the hell out of me to be honest, I found the hands on experimentation of having real modules in front of me to be more educational and fun! Its got to be fun!
It helps to have an idea what you want your rack to be from the start but these things evolve as you go, just start simple and small, I got a lot of mileage out of 10-12 (relatively cheap) modules in a Tiptop Happy Ending Kit case.

I know its a bit draconian but could you give users the option to enter a comma separated list in their account settings so they don't have to see Modules in searches or Racks of chosen manufacturers. A Mute-List.
For instance, I have no wish to see the Orange-Perma-Tan-Baby-Ex-President on Twitter so I Mute associated words.

3 sources of Sine waves; the STO, the EvenVCO and a self-oscillating Rebach VCF-AB filter.
3 effects; Mimeophon, Monsoon Clouds, Pico DSP.

I'll be trying Clouds into Mimeophon, I'll probably use sounds from the ADDAC103 into Monsoon Clouds (no Reverb) then into Mimeophon, I expect this to be fairly fun.

Thanks Garfield,
you are always way too polite about all of the music on this forum :) :) Cheers
This was a fairly quick patch, letting Marbles control all the Pitches and using it as a modulation source, splitting the EvenVCO 3 ways into Clouds, Pico DSP and 2hp Verb. Playing Marbles live for more variation, then there is a lower bass note from the STO which is probably not quite in tune but its low enough not to notice. I used the feedback on the Stereo Delay on the Pico DSP as another texture, also I had a play with Clouds live too as a bit of a de-tuned breakdown.
I've just sold my Roland SH-01 and ordered a Mimeophon which I think will fit in with this sort of style of play nicely.

Underneath that are the DNI pro Dot and the Roaux LL8 and ep that is mostl for the percussion, though I have the Roland TR-09 playing too which is behind the rack along with a mixer.

Great little sequencer the DOT, pairs well with a Robaux LL8, I like that the DOT lets you program ratchets and you can control Euclidean sequences with CV for a constantly moving set of rhythm. Programming it can be a little boring but its great for little fills and background percussion, I also use one channel as an Accent pattern on the Patching Panda Hatz.
If I was going to give a negative about the DOT it would be that the Trigger outputs could be a bit stronger, and the Channel mutes should come up first on the Long Press Encoder knob.

Playing with the idea of Trance Gating with a couple of VCA Channels and some snappy and not so snappy envelopes triggered differently for Left and Right channels which ends up being a bit ping-pong delay.
Pitches come from Marbles then the Saw wave from the Befaco EvenVCO, filtered by the Omsonic FLF into Monsoon Clouds to create a wash of sound with all the reverb, out into Veils VCAs with a couple of ALM PipSlope's being triggered from patterns in the Robaux LL8, then the stereo goes into the 2hp verb to add some wash onto the enveloped sound from the VCAs. Bit of a Tuned and filtered Bass drone from the Makenoise STO and Happy Nerding HNVCF.
Recorded in one take, if there are pops, crackles or glitches its because of my crappy soundcard! Thanks for listening :)
