No . Modules comes with their power ribbons.

Hello

This is the rack shown in the Moog Eurorack Case 60 HP image on their website. What do you think? is it a good companion to the Moog Mother-32? Thank you.

Hello,

I just want to know if I must list the cables to plug the modules to the power rails in my shipping list.

Thank you for helping.

Hello,

Please give me your opinion about the Raxperimental, a set-up for experimental/acousmatic music sound design.

Ne need to synthesize basslines or killer solo sequences here, but a configuration as open as possible. The openness is also translated into one analog sensor input module, an envelope follower and a MIDI module. There's no module to get audio from a computer because we have a sound card with DC coupled outputs.

Anything obvious missing?

The beast is here.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

Any recommendation for an alternative to this VCO with modulable waveform, large number of octaves and FM?

Thank you in advance.

Occurs to me:
- you have no PSU/converter module
- there is no mixer, have an external?
- there are no envelopes/vca s so everything will drone

Hi, you now have one case 12U x 84 HP ? And want to expand to 18U x 84 HP?
Add another 6U x 84 case to put on top with appropriate PSU.

Thread: Boraxrack

I'm speculating, as I have yet to build a Eurorack.

chiming in, @phinland very nice contact, quick and uncomplicated!

ps: i changed my name from penrose_riots to goldeg. quite a few over her on modgrid bought bits from me, and might also have left some feedback...

Hello

Iam limited in 4 Row 84hp, have you need details please for add 6 ROW?

Dear all,

I have a website which sells synthesiser t shirts.

Would people be interested in having a picture of their rack(s) printed onto a premium organic t-shirt? Just trying to see if there would be interest in this or not. I could create a product and you just email us a picture of your rack (a screenshot is fine) after checkout.

My website is www.future-past.co.uk

An example is https://www.future-past.co.uk/blogs/news/modular-grid-print

Thanks for the advice.

Cheers

Dean

Unicorns can just add .xml or .json to the end of the URL of a rack.

e.g.
modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/223662
->
modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/223662.xml
modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/223662.json

Not CSV but maybe a useful workaround?

Thanks, both formats are useful. Doesn't work with private racks, but I can workaround that too!

Version 2.0 of gargoyle delay module. New pcb with smd components and great new front panel.

Hi,

I'm very new in modular and i am planning to buy a new setup.
i already own a few things.

I have:
System 1m
Korg ESX
Roland aira tb-3
APC-mini for ableton
Make Noise 0-coast
and a few others that i will sell

In my new setup i will still use the Korg ESX ( i love the sound and its my first sequencer/synthesizer.
I also will still use Ableton because it gives me really fast variation in sounds. i use it for some drums samples and single shot samples. The Roland aira tb-3 i dont know if i will still use it but in the beginning i will. The Make Noise 0-coast can i build in the new rack as a module.

I can concur - phinland great to deal with. Trade with confidence ;)

Hey isgotekmusic,
thanks for the posting. I will definitely check out the modules you have in you rack.
As for the stuff I am doing, check ou my soundcloud page with songs I have written alone or with my co-writers. Some only very rough demos or mere sketches, some full productions. Some of them have been released by other artists, some are on my 2015 CD "Camerado" (fully produced in ableton):

Hi there!!! It's funny cause yesterday I started creating a rack exactly to assist 2 moog mother 32. ModularGrid Rack
Here it is!
I am a pop music producer if you are looking for one =) =P

Hi Community,
I am a (singer-) songwriter and I am recording my songs in my own little home recording studio. After checking out multiple vids on the Moog Mother 32 I am planing to purchase one for my next recording project. Heard some great patches that could be the basis for a song, also some great sound effects that could perfectly match with my recordings. So my setup will have to be some sort of a swiss army knife, not so much of just one purpose (like focussing on noise etc.). I am very fascinated by the modular world. So most probably I will continue my journey, once I have started. But that will be another project.
For now I am looking for modules that will be a good combination for the mother. So far I have understood that another VCO and VCF, also some effect units should be helpfull. The modules shouldn´t be too difficult to understand or too complex, as I am only just beginning.
Also I will buy the modules step by step, due to financial limitations. This very tiny rack should match with the size of the mother, so that I can put it in the moog tier.
This is what I have been thinking about until now. Are there alternatives? Suggestions for more modules (there is some space left Jens ):
Thanks in advance for all the advice, comments and ideas.
Cheers

@stoe had lots of patience with me and sold me a CP909. Obviously recommended!

3) Export owned modules as CSV or similar, which has been requested a while back:

Would also like to see an Excel-compatible spreadsheet of the modules generated from the program.

A CSV export might be possible, I will look into this ...

Any progress?

If you duplicate a rack, all modules outside of the rack (angry cat mode) will be duplicated, too.

What a great rack!! Oh it's mine.

I would watch a lot of videos on Rene first. Especially the ones by Make Noise and James Ciglar.

It's not exactly for everyone but once I got into it I've really enjoyed it. It's a little complex, at least for me, but only because it's different. But I have other ones: the BSP and the Knit Rider by Bastl. Im seriously looking at the Metropolis now by Intelijel.

Yeah, check out the racks I have - a 12u and a skiff . I am building a second 9U in a few weeks, and then hopefully not expanding any more for a while. But then I say that all the time. ;-)

ah yes i've been thinking of getting the Rene myself!

Is it easy to understand or is it a complex sequencer?

I can imagine! ill check your system aswell :) maby i'll get some good idea.... or expensive ones haha!

Thread: First system

Hello people, Im new here and new to this modular world of wonders. I have now designed a system here and was wondering if you could help me by telling me if theres anything important missing and if theres some better options for what I already have selected. This would be the first system I could slowly buildup and make changes as I go along, but I just need something to start with, a plan. My main use would be to make ambient and noise stuff for start.

Thanks!

Hello!

I'm a freelance keyboard playing living in France, and I'm looking to add some modular flexibility to my session/production tools.

My first adventure is a setup that can filter, distort and twist and add delay/rvb, all as clockable as possible. Easily internal clock to precise BPM and easy sync to external midi clock is a must.

My choices in this sketch aren't fixed, more in the line of: I would like a filter here, a preamp here, etc.

Am I overlooking something or is this a reasonable place to start?

Is the 7U (3+1+3) format a good choice?

Thanks for any input!

I also bought Shelves on accident (it was on sale!) so don't feel bad. ;-). I'm sure it's a good module, but it overlaps other stuff I have. I don't have the version with the expanded filter options like you do.

I don't know Yarns but if you are using a computer with this or external sequencer I hear it is very good. I use a Beatstep Pro and a Rene myself. It's all personal choice of course - I don't do live performances. :)

Mutable is very nice stuff - I have Clouds and Braids and thinking of Grids - but I also like the more "raw" tools like Maths, and dedicated VCOs and filters. Anyway - good luck with your choices!

Yes, makes good sense. Was thinking of veils but it's a lot of rack space for 4vca's. I've also neglected drums a bit so I'll go back and have a rethink. Thanks.

This is a Nice One DUDE ;-)

Hey amop!
Good question! Not sure why i got stuck with only MI products. It started with me buying Warps, found out that it was a cross-modulator, a VCA, and a vocoder. So most of the modules are multifunctional, which i feelt was something for me.
Yes its true, i bought shelves on accident haha! Right now i am using it more as a "EQ" , so i patch the full mix from the Frames to shelves and then to the intellijel Out module, but you are right on that point that its just a space Waste right now. I will look in to that.

I was thinking the same! But the Yarns module can send up to 2 diffrent sequences and also a clock signal (in this case im sending the clock signal to the Grids so i can build drum patterns. Its a littlebit of menu diving, but it gets the jobb done haha!

It's a nice selection but any reason in particular you are using almost exclusively MI equipment? I would mix it up a bit myself. Also, something like Shelves is taking a lot of space and maybe not providing much benefit for your usage.

I would add a sequencer of some kind. Metropolis is a good one though maybe too big here. Or Pam's Workout.

hello all modularheads out there!
im right now thinking of extending my modular system. My main goal is to have something to bring and play live shows on. So something similar to a groovebox would be great.

Right now i have the intellijel 7U case, getting the 1u modules soon next week. with this system i also bought the Roland Aira system 1M so maby in the future i'll get another intellijel case and snap on this build (so in the end it will be a 10/11 U rac)

is it anything you guys think i should add to my system right now? think i've figured out the drum part and the synth parts. Any good input would be really nice. I usally make like electrohouse, industrial music.

thanks!!

recently purchased mixers from @erstlaub. items looked new, service was how you want it and if that wasn't enough the price was keen.

Input module ( and also z-sum4 expander ) , useful and very cheap.
It does its duty -
Unfortunately, shipping is by ordinary mail from Russia.
Too much time !
(To Italy, almost two months)

But I still recommend it

Thanks for the tip!

CV conditioning = offset, scaling, inverting, mixing of control voltages

Yes Frames is a bunch of VCAs and a mixer of sorts, but not all at the same time. Plus, Frames's special feature is switching between different settings of its 4 channels under CV control up to audio rates. Putting it to work as a bunch of bread & butter VCAs or a cheap dedicated mixer seems like a waste.

Get a dedicated multiple VCA and a 4 ch audio mixer. 2xVCX and Doepfer A-138b come to mind but are just examples (use the module browser). As a general rule I recommend cutting your teeth on a bunch of simple second hand modules and upgrade to more expensive gear when you really are able to make use of its specific features. Makes sense?

Thanks. What is CV conditioning? And Frames is a mixer or perhaps there's another type of mixer. Any makes and models for your suggestions?

How about a stereo output? I know it's not as exciting as other modules, but having a massive stereo image can be heavenly, especially with your new Morphagene! (I got one and it is amazing)
