Whats the WMD Metron like? https://www.modulargrid.net/e/wmd-metron Should be OK for Gate length. You can also slow-clock a sequencer for an extended gate time, a really simple module for this would be the Noise Engineering Bin Seq if you want fairly fixed or manually tweaked gate times. https://www.modulargrid.net/e/noise-engineering-bin-seq

I plan to add a Prok Clap module to my rack at some point, but then Claps and extra hats come from the Roland TR-09.

Percussion sequencing from Roboux LL8 and Euclidean from DNi Pro DOT, one out on the LL8 also pings a filter with some noise going into it, then the bass line comes from the 2hp Turing machine via 2hp Tune.

Yeah, I kinda forgot about Marbles being in control, its nice that it has so much variety but keeps 3 lots of gates and 3 lots of pitches all muddling along nicely.
Though I did start off with Marbles just throwing Gates at the 2hp Turing machine or ARP which was doing a good job anyway before re-patching over to totally Marbles.
Its really feeling like Marbles is the module I've been looking for to help tie everything together. I need another VCO now so I can use the full 3 channels as all analogue goodness :)

Make Noise STO sine wave into DannySound Timbre, Befaco Even VCO into Happy Nerding HNVCF, quite a bit of modulation from Divkid Instruo Ochd and using the ALM Pip Slope envelope combined in the AI Synthesis Matrix Mixer, beats from the Roboux LL8 and DNi Pro DOT triggering the ADDAC103, using the filter on the ADDAC105 for a bit of extra blippy percussion from the T-Networks, 2HP Verb and Erica Pico DSP bringing things all together. There are also some Hats from the Roland TR-09.

Do you really need to re-organise your rack or would some longer cables be helping you out here to reach all the modules? ;-)
-- GarfieldModular
I'm currently in need of more power so some things are unplugged in favour of other modules.
I've figured I can drone on without gates for the moment and just control pitches so I'm playing with ideas.

Thanks very much Garfield, the Can is real :)
I want to try and create an evolving drone but I feel like I need some pointers, plus I only have the Noise Engineering Bin Seq that I can make long gates times for notes, I feel a rack re-organisation may be needed.

RRR - Reverse Reverb Reverse
Mutable Marbles for gates and pitches, 2hp Bell & Pluck along with the Befaco Even VCA and a little Noise from Kinks through Dannysound Timbre, each part has its own effect, tweaked and mixed in real time. Divkid Instruo Ochd is tweaking Marbles and the Happy Nerding VCF on the noise sweep. Tiny little bit of reverse reverb added in software which all but invisible.
Cheers for listening :)

Yes, Clouds is another module that I have found to be less useful than its reputation suggests. I still have one but it's on my chopping block.

When I first got the Monsoon Clouds I didn't really get it, almost thought it was broken, its taken time but I now enjoy it for at least its lush reverb, but with reverb turned off is where it comes into its own, modulating it on at least 2 parameters at the same time with use of the Freeze Button and reverse grains there is much enjoyment to be hand. Brilliant Fun is the Transient Modules 7J Joystick to tweak Size and density, I could literally just wiggle the joystick for hours on the right patch.

Yeah, I built the Robaux LL8 which is great for x0x style sequencing very performable so its kind of just a matter of building in the percussion voices to go with it. Then I get Ratchets and Euclidean out of the DNiPro DOT.

It is very enjoyable playing on the TR09 and TB03 together and as you say the programming is very easy, the SH01 could almost definitely go.
Maybe I should actually strip out what I don't use in the rack and see if I miss anything.

Would I be sad if I sold on my Roland Boutique TR-09 TB-03 & SH-01, and instead spend the money on Eurorack?
Bit by bit I'm creeping toward having a Drum/Percussion row. Though when I get a Pam's Workout+Expander I would've planned to hook up the Boutiques up via midi if I don't sell them.
I'm also getting to the point where I can see selling few modules and replacing them with others is going to take place now I see which ones I use most.
I'm probably going to end up with something like this -

Quite a bit of Clouds reverb then slowly blending in the Granular wetness and messing with reversed grains etc, I found the Erica Pico DSP feeds back on its self on the Green mode and goes a bit crazy so I'm making use of that with another kinda half-feedback loop around the Monsoon Clouds. There's a little blippy resonant filter pinging going in there too plus some more obvious percussion kept low down.
Oh, I'm enjoying the DannySound Timbre I built too so I get two parts out of the Sine wave of the Befaco Even VCO as one part goes via the Timbre into the PICO DSP and 2HP Verb, and the other part of more straight into Clouds
Cheers for listening :)

Yeah, I'm not going to rush to part with anything too soon.
Marbles quantizes its own outputs, there is some sort of external CV processing you can do though that might get a bit techie for me. The Turing Machine needs the Tune to keep things musical. Maybe I should ditch the Euclid to start with.
I'll post today's Marbles patch over in the 'You' section.

Opinions??
Now that I've added a Marbles to my rack, does this make the 2HP Modules; Turing Machine, Tune and Euclid spare parts?
I probably have a counter-argument for keeping the Tune, maybe the TM but the Euclid functions I can get from the DNiPro DOT.
The Marbles is exactly what my system needed.
Cheers

I kinda slipped with trying to do a piece of music every day for Jan... in #Jamuary, Oh well.
Almost completely Generative, just turn the modular on and reverse the grains on clouds and tweak some levels a bit.
This piece is driven from the 2hp RND which randomly triggers the Befaco Burst which has the probability control set about half way, these pulses then go out to the 2hp Pluck and Bell, the Pluck goes into the Mutable Veils with a bit of AD action from the ALM PipSlope where I wipe off most of the 'pluck' before going into the 2hp Verb, for the Bell then that heads into the Monsoon Clouds on Granular mode with the grains playing in reverse. Modulation comes from the 2hp RND too along with some slow LFO's from the DivKid Instruo Ochd. Oh.... and the Pulses from the Burst also head into the 2hp TM (Turing Machine) and 2hp Tune. I am manually using the Transient Modules 7J Joystick module to modulate the probability and Steps on the Turing Machine and also the Grain Size of Clouds which all together adds a bit of space.
Cheers for Listening. And quite possibly Happy New Year :)

I'm open to critique on this, having just built the Robaux LL8 (Which is very nice) I've probably got all the triggers I could ever need to make a full drum and percussion row.
Modules I don't have yet are:
Prok Clap
Happy Nerding 3x Mix
Befaco Kickall
Omsonic Pixel Dust
+Kit still to build of the Befaco Burst (This will be used for more than just Ratchets)
Befaco Output (Optional)
The Omsonic UPE is handy for panning the ADDAC103 into the mix (dedicated to the 103 as there are no level controls). The DNiPro DOT is really good for Euclidean and will also Ratchet.
Do you think there should be some effects within a Drum Row, maybe a Distortion and Reverb, or keep those for a different row?
Cheers
