very easy way to add some flavor to a stale rhythm. each increment of the mode knob has a different type of effect on the gates input to the module. sometimes it adds more, sometimes it takes away, and sometimes it allows the gates to pass thru. this all depends on the param knob in conjunction chance and length sliders. sending different speeds or uneven clocks to the clock in will also add another layer of complexity. the dum is limitless :)
