A troughhole version of Music Thing Modular Simple EQ with modifications
The module is based on Music Thing Modular Simple EQ but it's assembled on a perfboard using through hole components. The first channel of the module offers control over treble & bass and it's based on the Baxandall EQ circuit. The C1 (27nf) and C2 (1nf) capacitors (as indicated in the Music Thing Modular schematic) can bypassed with switches and replaced with different values, which can be mounted to female pin headers available from the front (Note: C2 is a not the best option). The faceplate has holes for small jars which house custom capacitors. The capacitors on this unit are water-based. They use mineral water as the electrolyte and plastic balloons as dielectrics. The unit has a CV input above the "Tilt EQ" knob which can be used to effect the bass or treble enhancements, to produce a subtle sidechain effect (the CV input passes current to two vactrols attached to the 10k "Tilt EQ" potentiometer).
