Orphiser is a module with a fresh concept, built around an Accumulator inspired by the Sequentix Cirklon, combined with a physics engine that adds Eurorack-style Slew, randomness, inertia and gravity, and a Shadow mode that outputs a variety of CVs linked to the Accumulator.

It achieves two seemingly contradictory qualities at once: intuitive, multi-functional operation and a space-saving design.

The Accumulator, the heart of Orphiser, is a kind of register — an accumulating device that repeatedly adds values one after another.

Below is a summary of the many features Orphiser offers. For the full manual, please download it here:

◾️ Accumulator
・Step Size Knob — sets the amount added, in the ± direction
・Step Button — drives the Accumulator
・Reset Button — cancels all operation
・Boundary Switch — determines the behavior when a boundary is reached
・Min / Max Knob — relatively sets the Accumulator's entire operating range
・Random Knob — adds randomness to Step Size
・Dir Knob — controls the Step direction by probability
・ACM LED — indicates the motion of the Accumulator / Shadow mode and serves as navigation

◾️ Energy
The Energy Knob adds physical motion to the Accumulator's behavior.
・Moment
Reproduces motion with inertia after a Step arrives and ACM reaches its target value. The further you turn right from center, the faster and longer it rolls; fully clockwise it keeps rolling, producing an LFO-like movement.

・Gravity
Reproduces a falling motion by adding gravity after a Step arrives and ACM reaches its target value. It falls toward the value set by the Min Knob. When set to Reflect, it bounces repeatedly. The further you turn left from center, the stronger the gravity. When gravity is weak it falls softly; when strong it reaches Min quickly.

◾️ Tap mode
Orphiser has an internal Tap Tempo, and switching the Tap Switch enters Steps automatically. Switching to Tap16Div divides the Tap into 16.

◾️ Shadow mode
Orphiser has six Shadow modes that work in tandem with the Accumulator.

・Dual mode — runs a separate Accumulator in parallel
・Envelope mode — outputs at the Step timing
・LFO mode — outputs at a speed linked to the Tap tempo
・Chaos mode — outputs moddict's original randomness
・Round mode — forms a round (canon) with the Accumulator
・Burst mode — adds repeats and glitches

◾️ Trigger / ALT Trigger
Trigger Out delivers a variety of triggers. ALT Trigger provides a dedicated trigger output for each Shadow mode.
・End of ACM Trigger — outputs after Slew or Energy movement completes (common to all modes)
・Boundary Trigger — outputs when a boundary is reached
・End of Envelope Trigger — outputs at the end of the Envelope
・LFO Cycle Trigger — outputs on the LFO cycle
・Chaos Trigger — outputs at random timing
・Negative Gate — outputs when lower than ACM
・Burst Trigger — outputs in sync with Burst

◾️ CV Select
You can assign the destination of the X/Y CV Input to various parameters. It also has an X/Y CV Attenuator.

◾️ Others
・Z Knob — controls Shadow mode parameters
→ relative control based on the held value and the current knob position
・Dedicated memory that lets each parameter be written/read semi-permanently
