Recently purchased new this Catlinbread Talisman Plate Reverb. Works perfectly of course brand new and mint. Original box, Catlinbread Bag (natural weathered look), and decal card. Note: any white specs seen on pedal are just dust specs. Played at home only, carpeted floor, no kids, no pets, no smoke.Just going through a buy and try period again. Not sure at this point if I’ll use reverb after my delay pedal. Have my first ever compressor pedal arriving shortly so I’ll see if that little extra sustain is creates more space. My thoughts on the Talisman: thick, lush and pure plate, no spring characteristic at all. If you like the brighter spring reverbs that thin your highs, this pedal is not that. Added controls like High Pass removes low end as it’s turned clockwise. Sometimes playing loud or increasing the Mix control produces too much low end bloom, this High Pass Filter works beautifully to ”lean” out that fullness and bass. Pre-Delay adds dimension even when adding only a small amount. Could go without a delay pedal with this feature. Volume Level is like a clean boost.Will ship in its original box then into a small cardboard box with padding inside for cushioning.
