Description

Catalinbread / Mosely FUZZritePlease note: This pedal is the result of a collaboration between effects pedal manufacturer Catalinbread and the Moseley family, descendants of the original Mosrite founder Semie Moseley. This collaboration led to the revival of the legendary FUZZrite pedal from the 1960s, which was known for its characteristic, aggressive fuzz sound. The original FUZZrite was produced by Mosrite between 1966 and 1968 and was available in two versions: one with silicon transistors and a rarer one with germanium transistors. The characteristic sound of this pedal shaped numerous recordings of the psychedelic and garage rock era, but also guitarists such as John Frusciante.Catalinbread worked closely with Mark Moseley, who worked at the family-owned Mosrite company in the 1960s. This collaboration gave Catalinbread access to original FUZZrite pedals, enabling them to develop an authentic reproduction. Mark Moseley and the original designer Ed Sanner supported the project with their expertise to ensure that the new pedal matched the original in sound and feel. This FUZZrite dates from 2016 and is based on silicon diodes. It sounds the way it should—aggressive, biting, unique. Watch Andy's video! Find another one!
