LEHLE DUAL EXPRESSION is now in stock pre-owned! The LEHLE DUAL EXPRESSION is an active, wear-free expression pedal with a precision magnetic sensor. Also known as the Lehle Volume pedal, this sensor measures the strength of the magnetic field using the Hall effect, named after Edwin Hall. In the LEHLE DUAL EXPRESSION, the Hall sensor is precisely calibrated to match the built-in magnet and the control range of the pedal, so that the pedal moves only the magnet and the Hall sensor measures its distance. Two digital potentiometers operating on analog voltages are used to generate the expression values accurately and reliably. This technology allows for far more accurate operation than conventional expression pedals using mechanical potentiometers. Since there is no mechanical wear, there is no need for maintenance or complicated adjustments. Both outputs can control virtually any common device with expression inputs ranging from 5k to 100k, whether TS, TRS, or RTS, and polarity can be toggled and stored using soft push buttons. The 10k output can also function as a latching switch or momentary switch when the pedal is pushed fully into the toe position. You can then, for example, change the channel of an amplifier or connect it to the switch input of a digital device to control any function. The USB jack can be used to send MIDI data to a computer to control MIDI-compatible software. The LEHLE DUAL EXPRESSION features low-friction bearings made of high-performance polymer for extremely smooth and stable foot operation. The pedal's mobility can be changed very precisely using the adjustment screw. Compared to the LEHLE MONO VOLUME, the weight and size have been successfully reduced by 50% and 35%, respectively, while maintaining the same sturdiness. The pedal height has also been reduced by 2 cm, but the pedal's range of motion remains the same, providing the same feel and sensitivity as the larger model.
