This is a reverb pedal made by Catalinbread. It's in good working order.Cosmetically it's good. It's been played a lot but suffered no damage. Except to part of the switch, which is gone. It still operates like it should, no real need to fix it. Rash Opinion: If I had to choose only one reverb type to use forever it would be plate. So smooth, a bit haunting. Rich. But I don't have to choose just one so I prefer multi-algorithm reverb pedals. The versatility of digital sound processing is available to us modern players and we'd be fools to not take it. If it doesn't come at the expense of worse tone, that is.This plate is as good as it gets. Flawless, smooth, vintage-y. As an always-on, subtle, thickening reverb it really gets the job done. That's where I tend to keep it, when this particular pedal gets big the reverb seems to take on a lot of heft and can blast the preamp when run into the front of my combo amps. Reverb that thuds against your chest and envelops your head like a rogue wave.I probably kept dialing in that overwhelming sound. 5 knobs is a lot for a reverb pedal. I'm pretty sure one of the knobs affected the bypassed tone, or am I Trippin? I don't want that. I think I did myself dirty with this pedal a bunch of times. But if you love tweakin' you can go ham with this pedal, perfectly chiseling your masterpiece of tone in a way that lesser pedals can only dream of. The pseudo-occult symbology motif of the screenprint is great to look at. This got replaced with the Walrus R1, which was later itself usurped by a better sounding reverb. I need to forget this pedal and move on. We were ride or die for so long. Someone out there who needs to truly experience the sublime bliss of tonal purity should buy it from me now so I can start forgetting. Walrus Fundamentals Reverb is my new religion. I cannot believe how much I love that pedal. It is so easy to dial in that you don't need presets. And it never kills me.
