A ghetto VCA/optocoupler low-pass gate
One of my first experiments with optocouplers and, to day, probably my most successful.
A completely passive module which can act as a sort-of VCA or a low-pass gate or a weird, filter-like thing if you feed it a constant control voltage and twiddle the pot. The heart of the operation is a Sharp PC817 optocoupler which can do some interesting things if you hit it hard and then deprive it of current.
Best of all? It's not only versatile but completely passive too.
Comes with a laser-cut, 3mm plywood panel which has been hand-coloured and lettered - feel free to ditch it if you don't dig the design.
