Entropy Cannon Crusher and VCF - 10hp

The Entropy Cannon is comprised of several parts. The first stage is a preamp, in case you want to run a drum machine or guitar into the module, or just overdrive your input and add some dirt. The next stage is the "Crusher" effect, which is basically an audio rate sample and hold. It gives an "bit crushed" type of sound. The crush rate can go from slow and choppy to so high you can't tell it's there. The crush effect is controlled by an internal 1v/o VCO, which means you can get the crush rate to track along with a VCO sequence, allowing for some interesting effects. The last stage is a VCF with allows you to soften your crushed waveform and add squelchy resonance into all those new harmonics the crusher stage creates. There is a Mix control which allows you to bypass the crusher and send just the clean signal into the VCF if you want to use it as just a filter, or if you wish to just add some clean signal to your crushed output.

There is an internal envelope follower that is normalized to the crush rate and VCF cutoff attenuverters for some default modulation. It responds well to drums. You can also patch an envelope generator into the VCF CV, an LFO into the crush rate, or whatever modulation you like for endless possibilities.
