uTuring Machine Expander, Pulse
Pulse converts the main Turing Machine's sequence into a series of repeating, rhythmic, semi-random clock signals based on the main clock input.
Seven of the 11 outputs are simply the binary steps of the sequence on the main module's front panel. The other four are derived from these pulses—so if steps 1 and 2 are active, output 1 and 2 will pulse.
As with most Turing Machine functions, it's difficult to explain, but in practice very simple and intuitive: send pulses from the module to anything that can receive a rhythmic pulse; envelope generators, FM index inputs, drum modules, or other sequencers. Very complex polyrhythms are a breeze.
Because the pulses are all connected to the main module, they are random, locked, and change with that module. When the main module's large knob is at 12 o'clock, the pulses are random. They are closed at 5 a.m., and at 3 a.m. they slowly "slide" through the time.
