Clock Divider (odd/rarer divisions)
Part of the Takaab range of modules by Siam Modular.
A simple 2HP clock divider with odd and less common divisions.
Inputting a clock signal into the OCD of between 2.5V – 10V and up to 10KHz will output clock signals at divisions of 1/3, 1/5, 1/7, 1/9 and 1/10.
Output signals are 6V. Duty cycle of all outputs is 50% or 1:1, rounded down to the nearest input clock pulse. E.g 1/3 is HIGH:LOW at 1:3, 1/7 is at 3:4, 1/9 at 4:5, etc...
A jumper on the board allows changing the 1/9 output to 1/6 instead. The 1/6 output exceptionally has a HIGH:LOW ratio of 4:2.
Inputting an up-edge/gate/trigger at the RESET jack (or pressing the RESET button) simply resets the output clocks to start again from the first pulse. Required reset pulse is 2.5V – 10V at up to 10Khz.
A header on the board allows the user to connect the reset signal from the button to reset an adjacent ECD unit. There are also headers on the board that allow for normalizing the RESET and CLOCK IN jacks of adjacent clock dividers (be they ECD or OCD). Connection requires 2-pin 2.54mm pitch female-female Dupont-style jumper cables. (One included with each unit).
