PT2399-based digital delay
The Sparta Delay is built around the PT2399 Delay chip from Princeton and offers a versatile eurorack-delay with minimal effort (parts). The PT2399 is quite cheap and allows a nice delay sound with few external components which in addition can make strange and interesting noises when going into delay times, the chip was not built for. This is why there already are several delays on the market using the PT2399. To make our first module interesting to you, we gave the Sparta Delay some features which stand out from the delays of our competitors. We got intended adjustable distortion, a clever voltage controlled “Punch-In with trails”-function and a tone-knob for bandpass-like dub-sound feedbacks.
Update 10/2017: no more 5V on the powerbus necessary, Regulator on board.
