Attenuverter and Barrel Jack Break-Out for Make Noise 0-Ctrl, 0-Coast, and Strega
The Zero is a eurorack module made to assist rack mounting a Make Noise 0-Ctrl, 0-Coast, or Strega. It includes an attenuverter and a barrel jack breakout to power a Make Noise module with its original power supply.
Specifications
The top part of the Zero is an attenuverter. From top to bottom:
The input jack is for the control voltage to be attenuverted.
The knob adjusts the attenuverting.
The LED shows the attenuverted signal level where red is negative and green is positive.
The output jack produces the attenuverted control voltage, or a control voltage between -8V and +8V if the input is not patched.
The bottom part of the Zero is a barrel jack that passes power to the power jack on the Make Noise module.
The Zero is 3.25hp wide. The fractional 0.25hp makes up for the non-integer hp width of a Make Noise standalone module so that they together occupy 48hp even.
Note that the mounting holes for the Make Noise modules are spaced in a non-standard way, so it is recommended to mount to rails that have sliding nuts. If needed, please see the video at sonoclast.com/products/zero for how to convert rails to sliding nuts.
The Zero is 30mm deep. The attenuverter requires 20mA on the +12V rail and 20mA on the -12V rail, and it is powered via a standard 10-pin eurorack power cable.
