Phase Shifting Clock Divider
About:
This is a special yet simple divider with four outputs per division: 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees, effectively shifting signals in the time domain. The 0 and 180-degree outputs are always available via the upper outputs, while the 90 and 270-degree phases can be selected using two rotary switches. At the bottom of the module, there’s an additional divider capable of handling more irregular divisions, though without phase shifting. It's also possible to use this module as a subharmonic generator with squarewave output.
Background:
The idea for this module arose several years ago when we had two sequencers that triggered on rising and falling edges, making synchronization impossible. PHASES easily solves that problem – and offers so much more. We often feed our MATRIX mixer with signals from PHASES, using it as a versatile three-channel sequencer.
