Asymmetric distortion with normalised release envelope
A distortion module by imrae under the tentative branding "FrequencySummoner".
This is a one-off made on perfboard. The distortion is based on a CD4049 IC; one AC-coupled and one DC-coupled stage is provided, each using two inverter stages for soft saturation. The AC Llama output is normed to the DC Llama input 1 and can be used to condition/scale the input signal.
A simple release-only envelope section is also provided, making a useful shape for "ducking" effects. The input is normalised high and the output is normed to DC Llama input 2; this allows the input 2 attenuator to be used as a DC bias control, increasing the asymmetry and fuzziness of that section.
