LinkDrum

Drum Module With Sequence Rompler

8bit Drum machine with Sequence Rompler.
Sound bank contains 48 drum samples comes from legendary and famous drum
machines like Linn Drum, TR 808, TR 606 and other.
Rhythm bank contains 60 drum (not editable) sequences and can be selected by RHYTHM knob.
Midi sync and transport available in master or slave mode.

Controlling Link Drum manually or by external CV/GATE sources attached
to the GATE, FILL, PITCH, NOTE, RHYTHM, INSTRUMENT inputs bring plenty
of combinations for manipulation rhythm patterns and fill transitions in the fly while the
romper is at Play mode.
In this manner, from 60 stored rhythm patterns and bank of 48 drum samples,
is possible to achieving least 512 new transitions.
Link Drum provide unique for drum machines way to play rhythm sequences, pattern manipulating or creating beats from bank samples using just CV and GATE control signals. Link Drum was designed as live performance machine just for simplest as possible way to play.

MIDI CONTROL:
MIDI switch is used for switching module to the slave mode and external MIDI
control.
IN / OUT RTS MIDI sockets is a TYPE B
In Master mode, MIDI Time Code and Transport functions are sending to the MIDI Out and be used for sync and control other MIDI devices.

CV and GATE control:
CV IN >> Pitch knob – samples and sequences pitch bend control.
Range input voltage 0-5V. Pitch knob is used for manual pitch bend control instead of CV control.
GATE switch is for manual triggering drum samples, or it can be used GATE input for external triggering. Gate Out send out trigger pulses.
CV IN >> Note knob. Sounds in bank of 48 samples can be selected by CV in range 0-5V, or manually by Note knob. Moreover, if romper is in Play mode the Note knob can flipping drum samples. Drum samples are assigned as MIDI notes according to the GM specification. CV Note is converted and assigned to the MIDI notes and samples in sound bank in the same manner.

ROMPLER:
PLAY switch for manual triggering Play mode. IN socket for external triggering Play mode. TIME OUT send out ticks at TTL level. It can be used for sync other modules like analogue step sequencer.
CV IN >> Speed knob. Tempo can be controlled by CV in range 0-5V or manually by knob. It’s also control MIDI time code.

RHYTHM CONTROL:
FILL switch for manual triggering rhythm fill. It flips drum samples and change their position in pattern while romper is in Play mode. IN socket for external triggering Fill function.
VELOCITY IN for external triggering accent.
CV OUT - voltage level is controlled by romper and its notes. Notes in range 0-127 is converted do voltage 0-5V. It can be used for internal self-control other Link Drum functions which gives interesting results or just send away to external other modules. CV OUT can be trimmed to the 1V/Octave range.
CV IN >> Rhythm knob. Rhythm bank of 60 patterns can be controlled by CV in range 0-5V or manually by knob.
1V/Octave switch is for trimming CV Out to the 1V/Octave range.
CV IN >> Instrument knob. Drum kits for FILL can be selected by CV in range 0-5V or manually by knob. While romper is in Play mode and FILL is ON, the Instrument knob can flip all drum kit in sequence.

Link Drum require little bit time on beginning, for understanding its unique workflow and finding own patches but quickly becomes friendly and intuitive.
