Fricko Blip! Waveshaper - constant breadth pulses
Based on the "constant breadth" pulses of the 1970s German Variophon synthesizer, thsi waveshaper generates constant pulses when triggered by an incoming signal. These kinds of waves are the kinds of one that double reeds (oboes, cor anglaid, bassoon), free-air reeds (harmonica, harmonium) and voices make. The result is a spectrum that does not vary depending on the note.
The pulse breadth can be modulated slightly, as happens in physical instruments on louder notes. A second unique output, the sharkstooth, is provided. Because the pulses get less power as the note goes down, the main pulse output has control to mix more bass into the output.
