Beaks is a really low cost version of the Mutable Instruments Peaks module. Using only thorughhole components this makes for an easy kit you can make yourself. One way to make this kit so cost effective is to remove the DAC circuits that are one of the most costly components in the MI modules. Instead a technique called Dual PWM is used to get almost the same high quality output.
