Vacuum Tube VCO
Der “Orpheus“ VCO ist ein analoger spannungsgesteuerter Oszillator für das Eurorack.
Zwei NOS HF-Pentoden vom Typ 6SH1P generieren den charakteristischen Röhrensound.
Die Röhren können alternativ auch durch zwei EF95 o.ä. getauscht werden.
Nach etwa 15 Minuten ist “Orpheus“ relativ stimmstabil und lässt sich über einen Umfang von mindestens zwei Oktaven sauber stimmen. Die 1V/Okt. Umformung ermöglicht ein tonales Spiel.
Die am Ausgang anliegende Wellenformausgabe liefert ein (röhrenbezogenes) diffuses Rechteck.
Reguliere mit dem Reshape-Width-Regler, um korpulente Pulsumformungsklänge zu erzeugen.

The "Orpheus" VCO is an analog voltage controlled oscillator for the Eurorack.
Two NOS HF pentodes of type 6SH1P generate the characteristic tube sound.
Alternatively, the tubes can also be exchanged for two EF95 or similar.
After about 15 minutes, "Orpheus" is relatively stable and can be tuned cleanly over a range of at least two octaves. The 1V/Oct. Transformation enables a tonal play.
The waveform output at the output provides a (tube-related) diffuse rectangle.
Regulate with the Reshape Width knob to create burly pulse-shaping tones.
