It provides several different oscillator types: Sine, Triangle, Ramp, or Super Saw waveforms, the latter two selectable via a jumper on the back of the module. The Super Saw wave in particular is special, as Modulaire Maritime have taken care to apply subtle phasers that accompany this waveform, creating a constant sense of movement without having to manage multiple oscillators to create this classic effect. It also offers Phase Modulation capabilities, allowing you to affect this phase relationship via CV. This Phase Modulation input can also be switched via a jumper on the back to act as a through-zero FM input, giving you access to even deeper modulation potential. On top of that, Essaim Ø provides a dedicated Hard Sync CV input, making it a timbral and tone-shaping powerhouse. It offers a full eight octave range, along with Coarse and Fine tuning controls, making it viable for precise timbral tuning in an FM synthesis context. The module is also designed with excellent temperature stabilization, making it a reliable companion for any stage or studio system.
