The Make Noise Soundhack Mimeophon is a stereo, multi-zone color audio repeater designed by Make Noise in collaboration with Tom Erbe of Soundhack. It is a highly versatile Eurorack module capable of everything from Karplus-Strong synthesis and flanging to cavernous echoes and multi-minute looping. SPECS: Multi-Zone Time Scaling: Uses eight nested color-coded "Zones" to define the repeat length, ranging from 1.3ms in Zone 0 to over 41 seconds in Zone 7. Halo & Color Controls: Halo adds stereo smearing and depth around repeats, while Color focuses feedback into specific spectral ranges to emulate various delay characters from dark oil-can echoes to bright digital delays. Skew & Ping Pong: The Skew button allows the Rate control to offset left and right repeats, creating complex stereo images. Long-pressing engages Ping Pong or Swap modes for rhythmic bouncing of audio. uRate (microRate): A dedicated input for subtle Doppler modulation, which also provides 1V/Octave tracking in Zone 0 for using the module as an oscillator. Flip & Hold: Flip reverses the audio buffer for backward repeats, while Hold freezes a loop non-destructively for infinite manipulation.
