Bastl Instruments SoftPop SP2 is a semi-modular synthesizer that combines a fully analog signal path with unconventional digital control, developed in collaboration with Casper Electronics. It features a triangle-core VCO, an "Infinity" multi-mode filter with a distinctive POP cross-modulation control, and a looping envelope generator.

Key capabilities include a complex digital sequencer supporting 8-step patterns that can be chained in real-time, 8 user-definable scales for quantization, and a 37-point Eurorack-compatible patchbay for extensive modular integration. The unit also functions as a powerful audio processor, allowing external audio to be run through its filter, VCA, and overdrive circuits.
