This is a brand new item that was tested once to ensure all is in working order. With the immense sonic potential of granular synthesis, Multigrain can transform your audio samples and live input into everything from ethereal ambient drones to sputtering, alien machine techno, and virtually everything else in between. With ample assignable modulation inputs and real-time, performance-focused controls, the only limit is your imagination.Part of a Nutritious Microsound DietMultigrain is an eight-channel stereo morphing granular sampler and live audio processor. Layer grains and sequence from the eight available Sounds—each one loaded from your microSD sample library, or recorded directly on the module. Each of the eight Sound Buttons plays grains generated from its own sample or the live input; its own pair of Scenes—two completely different sets of granular parameters; a dedicated Morphing Fader and CV allow you to smoothly morph between these two Scenes. Dedicated Select, Next and Gate CV inputs allow you to sequence the playback of all eight Sounds.Assignable X/Y/Z CV as well as an internal Random S&H generator, can be applied to any and all granular parameters at once. Assignable MOD A/B Outputs let you modulate other modules in time with Multigrain.Projects and Presets allow you to save, load, and organize different sets of samples and settings. 48kHz 24-bit Stereo I/O and 32-bit floating point internal processing for Hi-Fi output.FeaturesEight Sounds available at once — Each Sound can be freely assigned from the MicroSD card, by sampling directly into the module, or generate grains from Live InputLatch your sound for drones or use unlatched for percussive bursts of soundMorph Sounds between two Scenes — Two individual sets of parameters for each Sound13 Dedicated Granular Parameters — 10 Per-Knob Functions, 3 Behaviour TogglesBuilt-in Per-Sound Pitch QuantizerClock Sync toggle and InputBlur (HiFi Reverb) — Process your grains and L/R Inputs through a unique reverbTwo Sampling workflows, a classic Rec/Stop/Save Sampler/Resampler and a tape-loop style Looping Recorder—Sample the L/R Inputs directly or…Resample (internally) the L/R Outputs to reprocess your new sounds or…Capture loops with automatic crossfading of the loop pointOptional Normalize (on save) feature for maximum dynamic range32 Second Always-Listening recording buffer — Capture the sounds you thought you missedAdvanced Sample Trimming UI built into the moduleUse dedicated Next, Select and Gate CV to surf or sequence through SoundsFour Assignable Channels of Modulation—Three Assignable CV inputsInternal Random Source — Per-ParameterAll are assignable with attenuvertion to any and all parameters at onceMany Parameters have special random handling for stereo effect and probability. Two Freely Assignable 48KHz Modulation Outputs—Morph PositionGrain TriggerGrain EnvelopeGrain PitchEnvelope follower (Input Signal)Envelope follower (Output Signal)Random Sample & Hold via Grain TriggerPlenty of Shortcuts available for advanced users32GB MicroSD Card (Included)Front Panel accessible All settings, presets, and samples are stored on MicroSDGlobal /Wavs folder with support for up to 128 globally available WAV filesGlobal /Recs folder to store up to 1024 Recordings (WAV) made on the moduleUp to 48 Projects, each /Project folder supports—Up to 48 PresetsUp to 128 Project specific WAV files48kHz 24-bit Stereo I/O and 32-bit floating point internal processingSupported Sample Format: 48kHz 16-bit Stereo WAV, 32 Second max.Automation / ModulationThe granular engine has a full set of controls to shape your grains. You can apply two panel settings per Sound—Scenes A and B—then morph between them using the Morph fader or automate it with the dedicated Morph CV/Attenuverter.Multigrain loves modulation. It has three assignable CV inputs, which can be applied to the granular engine’s parameters. You can also apply internally generated random modulation and sync Multigrain to your system clock. Dedicated Next, Gate, Select CV inputs allow you to sequence or surf through sounds, layering and mixing them on top of each other.Ready for the StageMultigrain supports up to 48 Projects, each with 48 Presets, so you can store multiple configurations and sample sets for instant recall. This also frees you up to explore new sound palettes, while still being able to return to your favourites.Bend any Sound into your own creation Sample your own sources (or others) directly into the module for instant gratification, or load a copy of your WAV files to the SD card with a computer, and explore the sounds like you’ve never heard them before.
