Hello,For sale, the Seaside Modular Proteus (Blue) module. Proteus is a self-evolving melodic sequencer. Previously available as a VCV module, this is its hardware reincarnation. This module generates musical sequences using algorithms that mimic human melodic tendencies: repeated notes, ascending and descending lines, and scale-appropriate intervals. It also has a unique twist: Proteus has a built-in attention span. Set the "patience" parameter and watch your sequence loop quietly for a while, then suddenly decide it's time to move on. The likelihood of change increases over time.Algorithmic generation goes beyond simple chance. A complexity knob lets you go from simple two-note bass lines to complex melodic phrases. Once Proteus has created a pattern you like, save it to one of four pattern slots. Add probability-based octave jumps and individual note mutations to keep things moving, even within a locked pattern. Eight LED indicators not only indicate sequence position, but also rests, mutations, slides, and octave changes through a well-implemented color system. A centrally located USB port also allows you to upload your own scales via a small USB stick.Included with its original USB flash drive, its original Eurorack power cable, and four rail mounting screws (silver).
