The Circuit Slices CS030 is a well-laid-out 8HP Eurorack Six-Channel (mono) mixer with a surprising number of configuration options. It can be used for mixing audio and/or CV signals and provides both Eurorack-level and line-level output jacks (both 3.5mm mono). The shallow (~33mm) depth allows it to be used in shallower ("skiff") cases without issues, and high-end components give only 3.3nV/√𝐻𝑧 @ 1kHz of noise and 0.00006% THD overall.The knobs are well-spaced and easily to manipulate. An indicator LED lights green when output reaches 2Vpp, progressing to orange and red as output levels increase. Bright orange/red indicates that the signal may clip when connected to modules expecting the nominal 10Vpp Eurorack signal level. Five of the inputs have attenuators on the front panel. Gain for the sixth can be set via a trimmer on the back of the module; I've generally left it around unity. Jumpers are provided so that each channel may be set to use either DC coupling (via the position marked "Lin") or AC coupling (marked "Audio"), with the latter blocking any DC offsets. In most cases, simply setting these to use DC coupling will work for all signals, but it's great to have the option to use AC coupling if some of your audio signals aren't (vertically) centered about 0V.Line-level output amplitude can be set via a trimmer on the back of the module; this is hugely helpful considering the difference between "consumer" line-level (generally ~0.5Vpp) and "professional" line-level (often more like ~1.7Vpp). If you're using the CS030 as the final 'stage' in your patch before sending out to a mixer, you can tweak the level so that the module LED shows red at (or just before) the level that your particular mixer begins to clip.
