XAOC Devices Sofia – Excellent ConditionSofia is a beautifully engineered, fully analog VCO by Xaoc Devices. Mid-market-high-end Eurorack module with formant-rich waveform generation and lots of modulation flexibility. It’s clean, fully functional, and well cared for. Includes box/manual/etc (if applicable).Features & Specs:Synthesis type: Analog VCO with extended FOF (Formant-based) synthesis. Core: Triangle-core oscillator, temperature stabilized. “Ripple elements:” Two ripple/waveshaping elements (a & b) added over the base tone, with controls over decay (damping), density/ratio, warp, waveform (sine/square), etc. Lots of CV inputs: For pitch (1V/oct), global FM and pitch FM, plus CV control over parameters like element mix, fund-/element mix, damp/ratio/warp per element, etc. Multiple signal outputs: Main mixed output, fundamental (base tone) out, element A & B outputs, Impulse A & B outputs (decay outputs) so you can patch into complex signals / cross-mod. Physical dimensions & power: 24 HP wide, ~30 mm deep. Draws approximately +90 mA @ +12V, −80 mA @ −12V. Why It’s Special / What It Offers:Rich harmonic content and timbres, from warm and organic to bright, aggressive, or almost “vocals / formant-like” depending on how you set the ripples.Extremely flexible for modulation and self-patching: because you have individual outputs for components + many CV controls, the module can evolve, be animated, and made dynamically expressive.Good range: usable from low sub-oscillator frequencies to high audio range; ripples add extra high frequency content. Great for layers, morphing textures, creating evolving leads or weird harmonic drones.
