Description

Pittsburgh Modular Double Helix Wavetable Processor — Excellent ConditionThis module is the limited-run / “Safari Series 9” reissue of the Double Helix, a 9-bit digital wavetable oscillator / processor with gritty, lo-fi character and serious creative potential.Features & Specs:Chaotic digital engine: 9-bit resolution with a resistor-ladder DAC for that raw, textured tone.  Dual Banks of 16 sweepable wavetables each, and each wavetable has 16 sweepable waves. So you get a lot of sonic variety.  Onboard waveform-effects processor: ~16 modes (wavefolding, sync, AM, FM, reflect, etc.) that can be modulated.  Full CV control over frequency, wavetable select/sweep, detune, possibly fine tuning, etc.  Physical size: 16 HP width, ~24-mm deep depth.  Power draw: approx +88 mA on +12 V, −12 mA on −12 V. Why this module is special:It’s experimental / limited: production quantities are small, so demand tends to outstrip supply.  Its character is distinct: lo-fi digital grit, expressive via CV modulation, interesting timbres via wavetable + effects. Great for texture, aggressive sounds, weird leads, etc.A niche module that can offer sonic fodder most other osc / wavetable modules don’t — especially if you like character, glitch, and imperfect digital charm.
