Cycle 5 from Joranalogue is an analog oscillator proving that sometimes big things come in small packages, offering exceptional performance and a unique variable waveshape control in only 6HP. In any use case, Cycle 5's unique vari-wave control combines waveshaping with pulse width modulation, ensuring a wide range of timbral transformations only a knob tweak away.Central to Cycle 5's comprehensive feature set is a triangle-core oscillator with top-shelf tracking range and stability. A switch selects between audio rate and LFO mode, with 7-position octave switch and a fine tune control for the oscillator frequency. Joranalogue has taken great care to pre-tune each Cycle 5, delivering a C when the fine tune control is set to its middle position. A unique transposition switch shifts the pitch up by seven semitones, which in combination with the fine tune control provides a tuning range of fourteen semitones in each octave position.Modulate this triangle core with two precision volt per octave inputs, enabling transposition sequencing, simultaneous pitch control and FM, and more. Hard sync is available via the Reset input. Four dedicated waveshape outputs provide timbral range in addition to the variable output. This vari-wave control smoothly sweeps through each waveshape up to a pulse wave, which then is pulse width modulated through the remainder of the vari-wave knob's range. CV input over the vari-wave accepts signals well into audio rate, creating smoothly morphing sounds and aggressively rich timbres with different control signals.
