About the Unicorn Account

Description

This Frequency Central System X Filter module is the original version and factory-built (NOT a kit). I have two of these and am selling the second unused one, as I am no longer pursuing building a second system. I cannot list this as new, per Reverb standards, and I've taken it out of the packaging for pictures. It is a deeper module (built during a time when most cases were deeper), so it won't work with a shallow skiff. This is a killer version of the Roland System 100 filter in all its smooth glory. It gets nicely rubbery when modulated, and it's been one of my go-to filters for years. Part of the sound magic on these early versions is due to the use of 4 x ca3080 chips. There's an additional 12db/oct output, which is 180 degrees out of phase with the 24db/oct output. Mixing the two outputs will give a cool bandpass. It also has two audio inputs with level controls, which is perfect for dual oscillator mixing. These versions of the module are miles better than the newer ones... plus this has the original packaging, which you seldom see anymore. A really cool module that can elevate your sounds in the best of ways. Please ask any questions and thanks for looking.
