To effectively emulate the characteristics of real percussion instruments (and beyond), Crust offers you two synthesis layers to work with: Noise, and a dual-oscillator Tone generator. The Noise source offers a few different flavors from straight white noise to clap and metallic sounds, with a morphing lowpass-highpass filter for sculpting everything from snares to cymbals. As for the Tone source, the oscillators may be arranged into different configurations including FM, FM2, dual, and ring modulation. Pitch envelopes and detune let you dial in punch and thickness, while the Layer slider allows you to blend between Noise and Tone as needed. Timbre and Clip stages give you more sonic sculpture opportunities, with multiple ways to shape the transient or sustained portions of your drum tones. And with the ability to swap to any other Pizza module, Crust is sure to be another delicious Bastl addition to your rack.PIZZA CRUST FEATURESComplex drum synthesizerBased on Bastl's Pizza platform—supports swappable firmwares2 oscillator Tone generator4 Tone algorithms: FM, FM2, Ring, and DualFiltered Noise source with four modes: White, Bit, Clap, and MetallicLayer crossfader for volume and envelope controlVersatile ENV knob for amplitude curvaturesTimbre section with Filter, Clip, and Shape paramsClip section offers hard cipping or bass boostShaper with body or transient emphasisAssignable CTRL knob and CV inputWidth: 8hpDepth: 24mmCurrent draw: 90mA @ +12V, 20mA @ -12V
