The ARC Noise Rainbow is a cool eurorack noise generator which uses the Soviet KГ401 diode for analog noise generation. It features:-white noise, of course!-grey noise, which has a wide notch somewhere around 1k. You will probably hear this as a brighter sound than white, but it actually still has a lot of low frequency energy as well.-variable color noise, which you can sweep to get various colors such as red, pink, and blue noise!-clocked random, which is sample-and-hold processed noise. This called "digital pseudorandom pulses" by ARC even though there is no microprocessor or DAC etc. anywhere on the module. There is an internal oscillator dedicated to clocking this, but you can also patch in an external oscillator to clock it. Another option to control the frequency of clocking is with a CV input. This is version 1.0 of the module.
