Description

Versatile FX ProcessingThe LYRA8-FX is compact Eurorack module, basing its design on the FX section from the SOMA Laboratory LYRA-8 Synthesizer. The LYRA-8FX features a double modulated lo-fi delay, complete with cross-feedback. The LYRA8-FX boasts the same build quality as its sibling, incorporating premium-grade components for optimal audio performance and improved reliability. The module not only delivers a delay effect, you can also achieve reverb, com filter, chorus and a range of other cutting-edge effects. One of the most unique features is the inclusion of parallel distortion, complete with CV control of the drive. The distortion comes after the delay, allowing you to experiment with different tones and soundscapes.Ergonomic ControlsThe ergonomic layout features clearly annotated rotary controls, with selected parameters including CV connectivity. The faceplate of the module features arrows that show the flow of the circuitry, allowing you to see which controls are fed to each other for quick and easy operation. The dual delay circuits are represented by Depth, Time, Wet/Dry, Feedback, CV Input and Feedback controls. This gives you full control of every step of your delay processing, allowing you to dial in levels with maximum precision. Two switches are included for controlling the Delay time modulation source, with the ‘Up’ setting providing self-modulation and the ‘Down’ setting providing CV control. The distortion section features rotary controls for Wet/Dry Mix, Drive, Drive CV Control and CV Input.Design & CV ConnectivityThe module features a streamlined version of the FX section taken from the LYRA-8 Synthesizer. The simple yet elegant design features high-grade components including switches and rotary controls. There is single dedicated audio output complete with a range of other CV connections including Delay Time In, Delay Feedback, Direct Wet Out and Delay Feedback In. This allows other modules to communicate and use parameters from the unit, ideal for sound design purposes. The Audio I/O features a range of -5V - +5V. All CV have a range that spans from – to +10V. The unit also measures at 20HP in module size.FeaturesVersatile FX processor Eurorack moduleBases its design on the LYRA-8 Synthesizer’s FX sectionDouble modulated lo-fi delay with cross-feedbackCan self-modulate for added versatilityParallel distortion with CV control of the driveDistortion after the delayMore than a delay – achieve simple reverb, comb filter, chorus and other effectsHigh-grade components ensure optimal reliability and audio performanceSpecificationsPotsIN volumeStage 1 delay timeStage 2 delay timeStage 1 delay time modulation depthStage 2 delay time modulation depthDelay feedbackDelay feedback CV amountDelay mixDistortion driveDistortion mixDistortion drive CV amountSwitchesStage 1 delay time modulation sourceStage 2 delay time modulation sourceInsAudio InDelay time CVDelay feedback CVDistortion drive CVOutsMain audio outDelay only outDimensionsWidth: 20HPDepth: 40mmPower Consumption+12V: 90ma-12V: 20ma
