This is the original Three Sisters with the unmodified signal path. The newer production models have a limiter built-in to tame the signal.Three Sisters runs notoriously hot but this is preferred for a filter module as you are reducing signal by design. Most users do not gain stage pre and post with this unit like you should and therefore experience distortion. The newer units basically ensure it will never distort but also you are bound to lose definition as a result.
