simple linear 4 input mixer, expandable
Linear 4 input 1 output mixer, nothing special. BUT!
Has a ribbon cable pin header expander input and an output, to connect to other mixers like this. Inputs from another mixer are routed to the switches of each of the input jacks. When nothing is plugged in, for example input 1, the input from the other mixer is input into the first input of this mixer. Same with inputs 2, 3 and 4.
When there is another mixer connected to this ribbon cable output, that mixer receives this mixers four inputs, which for any of them, they might be the inputs of the previous mixer, and so on, and so forth, for as many mixer that are linked up like this.
Four of these mixers can be a 4 input, 4 output matrix mixer, but for any of the outputs, other inputs can be used, which wont affect the previous mixers but will affect this and the next mixers in the chain.
I will make more, different mixers, with attenuverters, logarithmic pots, cascading dual 2->1 mixers, aux inputs, offset generators, and/or other ideas. Those might be 4, 6 or 8 hp, depending on features.
Linear pots, attenuverters, and offset are great for modulation.
Logarithmic pots, stereo outputs, panners are great for audio, like fx send/returns and headphone monitoring.
